  1. Ooops sorry, I didn't get one of the dimensions in correctly. I will go back and fix.
  2. I'd go longer with that port, like 28 inches. I plugged it into Torres with your other dimensions and get mid 34's and 1.01 cubes after displacement.
  3. They look uber sexy. Are the other batts gonna get the same looking logo on their cases too?
  4. Actually 120 bucks for a box that large is a good price, if it's going to be designed properly. Otherwise it's gonna be a nice 120 dollar paperweight.
  5. It seems like there is someone here, who for 15 bucks in their paypal account, will design a box for you.
  6. My mono amps have never gotten hot like the analog amps? Is that not correct Ray?
  7. why? Because he said so....sheesh. But more importantly because they suck. You'll have a lot more pride in your build if you do the work yourself
  8. Your sub amp doesn't get hot because it's probably a digital mono block. Your amp you're running on the mods/highs is an analog and not as efficient. *Edit: The problem you're having could be a grounded out speaker wire. Thoroughly check all speaker wire and make sure it's not pinched or cut. Bare metal touching an exposed speaker wire could cause a protect.
  9. What do you have wired to it?
  10. I think Serena Williams should have to compete in the Mens class. I'm convinced there are testicles somewhere on her body.
  11. You won't touch Fosgate power like that for that kind of money....used maybe. My T1000 was 350 new from audiosavings, and birthed out at 1380W RMS.
  12. At least the width of the port itself. If it's an 8" port, 8" from any obstruction. Did you download the Torres?
  13. Thanks for the reply n8. I figured more is safer too. I kind of want to do a medium gray faux leather and maybe black accents(door handle insert and armrests). Most material places are selling them 54" height and length by the yard. I just need to figure out which 2 sets of components I'd be happy with in each door. It's just a regular cab and id rather keep it clean.
  14. Your Width of 8" is way too wide for a slot port in that volume. I'm going to bed, maybe someone else can help. My advice is download the Torres calculator found in this forum and play with it yourself. It will give you much more accurate results. And the port ITSELF is inside the box so that decreases your volume. Try a width on your port of about 4 inches.
  15. AFTER bracing, subwoofer, AND port displacements. A big L port eats into your net displacement in a big way. So shoot for like 9 cubes before any displacements. I'd seriously go with a couple nice 12's tuned around 34-35 and call it done in the space we know you have.
  16. Your l-port doesn't have any air space left for subs and is tuned to 92 Hz before displacements and .68 cu ft after port displacement. Your Aeroport design is better but a little small on port area and with estimated displacement of just subs you are sitting at about 35 Hz. Net air space in the Aeroport box is a little under 5 cubes. Not enough air space IMO.
  17. Are they yellowish? hes talking about the headlights that arent crystal clear. go google 88 eldarado and youll see what i mean. and the problem is, i dont think anyone makes aftermarket clear housings I don't need to google Eldorado headlights, I know exactly what they look like. I KNOW he isn't talking about clear lights. My 90 Chevy full-size had non clear headlights and I used to sand them and buff them to get back to as bright as they came stock. You have to get all the edges where light comes in and it brightens them up a bunch.
  18. Hey guys, I'm sure this has been brought up before, and I was looking for a sticky and couldn't find one. About how much material do you think it would take to cover the front GM fullsize pickup doors(2003 Sierra here). If i decide to cut and glass them, I don't think I want to paint them to avoid the wear and tear on them(even though they'd be super good looking). Soooo, I'm wondering how much material each door would take to wrap. Maybe 2 yards per door(probably TOO much, but I'd rather have more than enough)?
  19. Something like this should work just fine. You don't need clear lenses for HID's to be bright. However if they are crazy oxidized, I'd suggest buffing them out or getting some of that headlight restore crap. Its a kit that includes and abrasive and a polish. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_37617_Race-Sport-Accessories-9005-10000K-HID-Bulbs.html
  20. What ray said then you have a lot more flexibility for a less expensive double din. How much are those kits?
  21. And YES Kenwood is great brand. Their preouts are 5V and iPod integration is awesome. I'm running a double din eXcelon unit(DDX 896)and am in love.
