  1. GM used butyl rope between the door and the weatherproofing layer beneath the door panels on older (60-80's) models from what I've found. It seemed to serve as a seal for the plastic sheet to keep water from coming in the vehicle through the door as well as preventing the door panel from rattling on the door. I took the original rope off the doors of my elk when I was cleaning up the metal and there was a very noticeable difference in the amount of rattle (plastic on metal) that was audible.
  2. Did a 137.9 @ 30 hz on the dash and a 138.1 in the kick with one VVX10 v1 on a DD SS1a at 2 ohms. I'll get a pic at the next meet. Build is in sig for anyone interested.
  3. SS1a showed up today. Such a small amp for the power it's supposed to put out.

  4. Anyone else excited for Mayhem fest this year? Mastodon, Machine Head, Behemoth, and Bodom in one place; they must want my money.

  5. Glassing the primary loading area of the t-line flattened out the response quite a bit, at least it sounds like it did. VVX10v1 has been a champ so far, even below 20 Hz.

I'm not getting defensive, sorry if I came off that way. It doesn't produce much pressure at 18 Hz, but it's noticeable in the truck.

Pretty cool, man. Not many move air that low. Especially jut a 10. Good shit, dude.

That means a bit coming from you; thanks.

The v1 10 has almost perfect Qms and Qts values for a transmission line as well as a low Fs, makes for a killer low end set up.

  6. Metered the el camino tonight. 133.5 at 27 Hz, not too bad.

      27 huh? That's a nice frequency :D

What was the metering style/your setup?

Yep, on 3 different decaf songs that peak around 28.

Metering was sealed on passenger side of windshield. Setup is one VVX10 in a t-line on about 400 watts.

  7. UCE/USFCM show tomorrow night, maybe I'll run into a few people from on here?

  8. Gonna start building the amp rack and door panels this weekend now that I have my 4 channel and some time.

  9. Making a vid of the VVX10 t line tomorrow and would like song suggestions. Any ideas?

      Sounds good.

You can expect the decaf version of Bullshittin' - Big Sean. It gets a little low.

  10. Interesting to know that I have a v1.75; thought it was a 1.5 since the day I got it as a replacement. I realize it's a little off topic, but would the softer spider of the 1.75 cause the Fs of the woofer to be slightly lower than the v1/1.5? Trying to find a legitimate reason to rebuilt my transmission line.
