When I was growing up and reading car stereo review, and Auto Sound & Security, Waveguides were coming on. Saw a set, made by USD, at a joint, & almost snagged em just because. Anyway, I left, and posted this after I looked around the Acura to see if I could use em. I don't see them anymore, and was wondering what the mass opinion was out there???.. Ok.... could be off,... but, if the new bats were in fact up to par,... then... I have seen some wierdness where... a new car was bought, then, had starting problems then, was dead. WIth that, in 5 months, 2 new batteries were replaced. Charge (alty) was ok. Again, a dead battery issue arose. Car was toed to the dealer. A real tech dug, and found one HOT lead wire had a spot were it was cut, and slightly making contact to the frame. It caused a very slow drain or draw on the cell. Over; time, like, a couple months, it killed it. But, it did cause some corrosion on the post, (why i asked) due to a low connstant draw. Look,.. im just saying it was a terrific find. Or, the dealership woulda just swapped a new battery in every 2 months. So.... a meter, and dig on the cables bro......Especially if your 8v is true. Normally a dead bat wont even make it that low. Know what i mean? If in fact youve seen 8v, then, there is a constant draw........well, maybe to me..... EIther way, and maybe im way off..... keep us informed bro.. good luck

Lets sniff around... at OP...Why did you put a new battery in? cuz it went dead ? with that, When you intalled the new battery you just picked up, was there some bubbling, foaming, or a shit ton of corosion on the old battey posts and such??

agree with kran again... if nothing, like nothing is working... (i didnt understand the ignition deal) no dope light, or if your hazards dont work ( they should, period, as a fail safe, if you have some juice of course) then your dead. Now, why the bat is dead, is entire new who-ha.....

Lets simplify Take and amp, that has been installed. Clamp it. Now, remove the rca's coming in (signal) Sound stops. So, to me, there is NO draw. The amp, is just chilling,.... has a light on to say its on, and.... thats about it. Please, tell me if i have mis-understood the issue at hand. The beers have been going down fantastic for the last 2 hours, since lunch. So i dont mean to come off as a fuck face.

take the 12v on, and remote, and put em to your battery,.add a ground of course........ the amp WILL turn on..... and be "pulling" damn near nothing....like, enough amps to turn the ON led on....no more.... there is no signal to make it draw.....fuck.. maybe i dont understand the question??????. Im not trying to argue my friend..... and again... maybe i dont understand the question. And in now way trying to be a dick

Ken, I dont see what your asking can be off... in no way shape or form my friend...... If the amp has nothing to do,.. there will be no draw... If you dont tell it (signal) what you want, it wont put out (draw).... (un-like some 4 dollar hookers we have around here)

wow weird.... hell,.. what do you think fading does???? takes away from front/rear...... Ill even be more fucked up and or wrong here..... RCA sig (TO ME) are last to go in, on any install,... first OUT on Trouble shooting........ Ive added an amp, and no signal, and cruised around like that for days... weeks...months.... Man,... if my head is somewhere wrong on this... please fill me in....

why? it would just sit there,... idle.... turn on, and sit,....... no signal coming in... to me, its just on, sitting there,...... like, if you had a set up... and had your HU off.........??? am i missing something?

im right with you bro,... and understand what your asking.... and, i dont think so....... i think your spot on.... Just a hypo question here- Put a clamp on the amp...... turn it up.. and pulll the sig coming in..... id have to gaurentee the amperage would drop..... period...
