From the sounds of it, right now I would sugjest some xl's. When you get those going, and have updated your electrical to get them moving to there full potential. Then look at upgrading to something bigger. But to not even know what you have for electrical right now and then try and jump strait to lvl 6's you will likely run into allot of problems, from not enough funds and one sub sitting in your bedroom for 3 years with no batterys, amps, or the proper wireing to run it or you get all the stuff you need, and then from lack of exsperiance blow some or all of the equipment amongst other things.

Quality/preformance and Customer service. To me those are the most important thing. If I know they are going to do there all to support any problem that may arise because of there customer service giving me all info needed. Then I am willing to wait longer to buy something at a higher price for the quality of both the product and the people that stand behind it.

Honestly kids first over anything. In looking at this, I would say the best bet is see about a long distance relationship. It will take her time to get settled there. As it sounds it looks like you have a full load between 6 days a week and shuffleing around trying to see your kid as much as possibile. Considering she has allot on her plate, it doesn't sound like she will be jumping into any relationship soon out there and that leaves the whole long distance thing open for you and her. Try to take weekend visets and what not when you can. Maybe go out for a week during the holidays and what not. But let her get back on her feet, as a good friend/lover/etc you owe it to her to give her time she needs to get her life going for her and her child just be as suportive as you can. If it is ment to be, then nether of you will be looking else where. If it is not yeah it may suck who ever is on the heart broken side in the end but it is worth the risk if its truely your one and only. Custody wise on your side, if things went down the road of marriage, then you have that bonus to getting more custody of your kid. I am not saying elope and get married, but it gives you the option later on if you guys go down that route to then move other places if its in your cards to do so. But one sugjestion, changing school the older a kid gets the harder it is on them. Being the new kid is never fun so dont rush into anything.

from what I have read, you have to have a hd in fat16 or fat32, you need to run a 1.5 hd if you want to directly plug in play to your usb port. if you have a 3.5 then you have to power the hard drive from a secondairy sorce. on all of that you have very little controll other then volume down if you dont want to hear a song and only plays in order of how they were written on the hd. I am not sure how ssd are with that for I did not find any info. for a regular hd you will have issues from bumps and what not while driving and cause the spindle and such to crash inside wipeing it out.

You can probally find some type of stocking/warehouse work at such hours. Check with your grocery/supercenter/sporting good/electronics chains for stocking/backroom openings. You wont make a ton of money but maybe around 600 extra a month.

Get the alpine for now, install it properly so you are not clipping and so forth. Then go from there, if you are compleatly happy with how loud, sq and such things then no reason to keep droping money into something. But that rarely is the case so I would sugjest just saving money here and there. Worst case you love the alpine amp and you have a bunch of extra cash to spend on something else.
