Ok take a look at your amp spec: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_22732_Kenwood-KAC-8105D.html It is not stable at 1 ohm will deliver 500W RMS at 2 Ohm 300 watt at 4 ohm, since you can not wire to 1 ohm you will get 150W RMS per sub. Your subs are 450 RMS each. Regarding the box most frequent configuration is port back subs up.

  4. Yes, additionally you get to test the port on either side, with the center port you can't, that design let's you test sound in four ways, but as before I could do it any other way if you want me to, this just the one is the one I would recommend.
  5. Also I would recommend to have the cuts done for you, office depot do that service, if the parts fit perfectly the build be really solid, also use MDF screws if you can.

  10. Ok this is done on Pioneer specs (checked the data you provided) , your amps can really cook that sub, set your subsonic filter to 30Hz to help protect it.   13. It will be good for that car, if you can do angled cuts and can get some rod dowels I would suggest you some bracing.
  14. If you limit your gain you won't be able to do a thing, just have it properly setup.
  15. You can buy the equipment you intend to and limit your gain while you consider your electrical upgrades. This way you won't need to upgrade your audio later.

You need know the net volume of each chamber and the length, the port cross-sectional area, and the t/s parameters of the sub to determine it's behaviour..BUT modelling software assumes constant cross-sectional area ports to determine tuning of each chamber and it's not the case with this design.. so you should ask the designer in any case, generally 6th order enclosure sound very loud but quality is bad, usually lots of group delay around the tuning frequencies. I wouldn't build something like that unless I knew for a fact that it will work.

  19. Why woild you want to build that, also hope it was designed speciffically for those subs.
  20. Look for a CEA certified amp, usually stock electrical will tolerate 1KW sub system, better with a 80-90A alt, you may want to check your electrical to be in good condition though.
  21. Ok now you have the space but need to know what vehicle is this and probably a pic of the interior and some infos on how do you intend to install this.

  23. Re is the DC resistance of the sub not the impedance, any sub measured with a multimeter will show a lower value than the impedance rating.
