  1. If you were to run the tweeter and midrange in parallel on each channel, you would be at 2.4 ohms, which would be fine since that 4 channel is 2 ohm stable, and does 100 watts at 2 ohms on each channel. Edit: 6 ohms? You using a home audio tweeter or something?, just wondering
  2. Just curious, but how would not giving them enough power would clip his subs? _____ Also to OP, box does make one hell of a difference even if your subs aren't the best. I've got the weakest model that Kicker offers but when I switched from a prefab crappy wood sealed box to a ported 3/4" thick MDF box I noticed a major difference. Well, in case he has the gain and/or bass boost a little too high, forcing the subs to play louder off a little power, which is the usual cause of subs breaking, by underpowering them. Now if he's sending a clean 150 watt signal, it shouldn't be a problem, the subs just won't be as loud, but hopefully the Kenwood amp does him better when it comes to power.
  3. Yeah, it's gonna/should be be as loud as your Polks for the MP6 since the Polks has a 93db sensitivty, and the MP6 also has a 93 db sensitivity. Could be even louder since companies sometimes measure their db sensitivity different from one another.
  4. These mids have a high db sensitivity, so for normal music listening levels, your headunit should do fine for now if you're just directing replacing mids.
  5. Yeah, the box is extremely important when it comes to spl, and/or sq. Your box should be made of 3/4 mdf (medium density fiber board), not plywood to avoid box flex, and to be sturdy overall. Hmmm, take a closer look at the Kenwood amp, to see the model name, or at least the rms wattage which is what matters, because that Kenwood is most likely not gonna do 1200 watt rms, and most kenwood amps are only 2 ohm stable, except for one that is 1 ohm stable but with like >900 watts rms as the number. Ported will be louder for you if you're looking to shake things around.
  6. You should probably give those Pioneers more power though to avoid clipping but only when you can afford it. Which Kenwood amp?
  7. There's the new Crescendo MP6 that recently came out, you should check these out if you have no luck finding the CCX 6.5's
  8. Yeah being in high school sucks when it comes to having money, and it's hard to find a job to afford all this audio, but good job on the build, and nice choice of equipment too
  9. I will always still wonder why people think Nickelback sucks

  10. Time to stop holding back, time is running out.

  11. I had a smoking problem too, even though it's not really cigarettes, it's more towards Blacks, and Cigars but it's still a bad habit that I've had since I was 17, so for like 2 years. I stopped for 2 months, then I had one Black on Saturday, so not proud of myself, and I'm starting over now :| The thing I'm gonna start doing that you should start doing too now, is keeping a log of how much money that is saved, and then when I look it at, I give myself a reward like a new videogame or stuff for my car because instead of spending money for smoking, I get something better and worthwhile. Another thing I do to fight the urge is buy these cool-aid packets that are 25 cents each for a gallon, and a huge bag of sweetener(not Splenda, the walmart brand) good for 5 gallons(if you use 1 cup per packet), for like $5 at Wal-Mart, so they have no calories, very sweet, and it helps fight my eating and smoking addiction. I also make lots of espresso too due to my mom, who switched her nicotine addiction to caffeine like 20 years ago, so that kinda helps too, though I can't handle caffeine that well compared to my mom since I'm young, so jittery problems sometimes :|.
  12. Thank you Manny, and Pablo for fixing my trunk's locking mechanism, I greatly appreciate it :D

  13. Yeah, my 1st post seemed harsh too, but I like the older stuff from Digital Mystiks, Coki, Benga, Kromestar, Distance, Cluekid, and Skream. I like the mainstream artists too like Bassnectar(especially Basshead, and Red Step), Datsik, Excision, Downlink, Nero, Cookie Monsta, and of course Flux Pavilion too.
  14. What a huge horrible mess that song is, imo. Not a huge fan of "Brostep"
  15. Yeah, sorry about the mis-information on half of them, was trying to give every possibility on wiring option, which I did by hand, forgot not every wiring will work properly, though having an odd number of subs will bring odd numbers. Thank you for pointing out my mistakes
  16. Setting gains by ear in neighborhood, bad idea lol, wish I had a DD-1 #Being19withoutjobsucks

  17. 6 ohms(dvc's in parallel, subs in series), .6667 ohms (dvc's in parallel, subs in parallel), 2.667 ohms (dvc's in series, subs in parallel) 1.333 ohms (2 dvc's in series, 1 dvc in parallel, subs in parallel) .8889 ohms (2 dvc's parallel, 1 dvc in series, subs in parallel) 3 ohms (good for JL amps) ( dvc's in parallel, 2 subs in parallel, and then put them in series with the 3rd one) Weird numbers come when you go in triple.
  18. Yeah, youtube is a horrible place to see if a sub sounds good, you have to hear them yourself.
  19. If you like the subs you just mentioned, and you have the trunk space to fit them, go for it, just make sure you get a good amp for them.
  20. Holy crap, it took all day to install my 1st on my car, thank god I have good friends, especially one who knows about car mechanics :D
