still didn't say why we should steer away from 6x9's, i have been using them for years and like how they sound. i have never heard any of the round ones so please to tell so i can start planning on getting some

i use infinity kapas they are like 120 watts rms

i do lots of shipping at my job and before i ship out i pack things good, now its not my fault ups tosses boxes in and out of trucks smashing boxes all over the place, we do get complaints from costumers but we do our best for it not to happen but we cant control the manner the shipping companies handle the packages.

another thing that happen was that the installer bad handle the sub and broke a piece of magnet that voided the warranty and on the sub and they dont want to pay for a new one lol its funny to me because i told my brother to take it to the place i go and he said he didn't like the place and ended up even worse, he had nothing good done to his car and he says he is going to sue the installers since they damaged his car from everywhere, he should be stopping by today if i can i will take pics of all the damages to his interior to show you guys

That's the result of clipped signals. yeah i guess, my mine are clipping and i get smell not a blown coil, he never got it to smell and it was installed by professionals so they should have check it wasn't clipping before handing him the car edit: it is a true story i wouldnt just say it when i know there is people on here that know more than me. it sucks to have a $700+ sub blown in one day because of a bad install

i have never broke in my subs never thought i would i guess i dont play loud, my brother got his first sound system ever with one 12 fosgate and a brutus and a week later he wanted more so got himself 2 RE XXX 15 and 2 re XTX5000.1 and the first day he blew the coil out of the motor, he never played them soft and it went out with a bang and now he has to pay $170 to recone it

just had a change of heart since i want the 18's badly, will do another box for the 4 15L7 for truck and get the 2 18's for my SUV

my stereo would turn off shutting off everything with it, i did change the alternator though and i dont have that problem anymore i do however want to upgrade my audio and wanted to go with the 18 BTL but i been told they wont fit since i need to have more height on the box, Is there a way i can still use the 18 if i face them up instead of straight forward or just angel the box a bit to clear the outside diameter of woofer?

or maybe it could be that i had a bad alternator that would drop to 10 volts when listening, i forgot all about that problem

you can get a pair of 12' kickers with $120. i would go with new and not used since you dont know what the other owner has done with the woofers or if they are burnt out

i found this one that might work for me, i already have one like that on my truck with 2 kicker 15L7 and it hits hard but at high volume it don't sound clean so maybe i didnt tun it right

im looking to building a box for some BTL's i will be buying soon and was wondering if anyone can help with specs for box, I will be using it on a 1994 silverado the box will be in the bed and the cab and bed has been ported, i have 19.50 inches height 48.50 wide and 40 depth could even go to 46, thinking of the 4th order box and have the port go through the bed and cab which is 8' by 24 inches
