    aluminum's price point makes it alot better to use than copper. The differences aren't really going to be noticed.

    I might be mistaken, but that's the beauty of fast discharge, if one battery gets drawn from, the other batteries will supply the power to maintain the same voltage as the rest. Think of it as battery osmosis. That's what i took from researching, at least.

    If you were to do that, Just use wires to connect all of your batteries. You're drawing power from the same bank regardless.

    ^ x2! Don't want to sound like a nuthugger, but he does do really good work. But to save money for doing something out of the ordinary for you, i'd just have a buss bar for your 2 3000's and have short runs of 0ga to your d2700. I can see that being very easy to mess up if you dont get the correct angle/distance

    you could possibly try the rope caulk some people use between subs/box. Not sure if it would be think enough, though.

    Well, installed my D3400 today, resting voltage at 12.9 when I put it in, and it's definitely a huge improvement of what I had before! Let it run for about 15 minutes after installing and ended with a resting voltage of 13.5 Those terminals definitely set it off, hats off to XS Power and Geoff for making awesome products! Mechman install should be coming in the next couple of days.

    Not sure if there's a difference from generations, but the only metal contact is the handle of the window.

    Well eff, there goes my recent idea. You could give it a shot though, I was just going to lay down weatherstripping or closed cell foam on where the glass touches the actual hatch.

    I'd say you should be fine. Just have to be smart about it, if they're getting hot/stinky just turn down the gain until you feel comfortable about it. Ahh, the glory of having head room...

    I saw your other thread about your electrical. With that 5500 keep an eye on your voltage, you may end up having to add 1-2 more xp's. But who knows, it may be just fine.

    No idea what size your stock battery is, but go measure it and find an XS that would fit in it's location. Just be sure it's a D or S series, as XP's can't withstand heat from under the hood applications.

    honestly, mainly for a smaller box size, i'd go sundown Z's or Nightshades. But you're gonna need mawr power!

    Think about box design before you persue this anymore. Build a nice box for your 12's and you'll probably be happy with it. But if you're set on it, consider what your box height is going to be if forward firing that thing. And first and foremost, just save to get electrical man, lol. I was creeping your youtube, and an alternator's calling your name. 11.9v i thought i saw? It's going to end up the way the brutus did soon.

    I've heard for every 3 amps, it's roughly a 1 HP loss. May be some mumbo jumbo, though.

    Haven't seen too many Broncos with leather. But nonetheless I'm curious as to how that bedliner on the floor turns out, and lots of potential in that thing!

    Lol thats not what I meant.... as in those are bdcp's... even at 2 ohms they're gonna be putting out 3k, thats 6k to 3 subs... subs that are only rated at 800 watts, max rms dont mean shit. lol, i really need to not post when im multitasking. I thought you said just electrical upgrades and assumed you meant his cars

    Just a suggestion, but I'd just put the biggest xs you can fit under your hood and run just 1 of the RF amps. To go from 3k to 6k will require alot in batteries or a second alt.

    Emmet means upgrading your cars electrical. What upgrades as far as alternator/batteries go do you have done yet? And max watt rating on subs are more or less useless.

    Meh, i know every little thing counts, but 2 2200s would only be 100 watts more *rated*, then you get into the debate of if 1 or 2 amps have more or less imp rise, etc.

    I'd recommend getting an alt first if you could, might as well do it correctly instead of helping to limp your stock one along.

    Put a small load on it and see how much dimming you get/how fast it goes back up to 14+. Roll down both windows, put on A/C, etc. Honestly, you're drawing a bit of power off stock with that 2200, i'd be happy with 13's

    The problem with that is you have to either look back or get out and check it to see your voltage, I'd just get the stinger and mount it where you can see it in the drivers seat, it should be fine for ya. I also agree with JeepGuy, certainly shouldn't need 2 runs of pos for 2k, i'd use that as a neg
