  1. Welp, just got my sets of terminals earlier today! Geoff definitely does some great work!
  2. I'd take back the $60 dmm and get maybe a $10 one? Save a bit of cash and i'm sure it wouldn't be a big difference in readings. Check the resistance at each fuse holder, check grounds, etc. You have the rear batts neg connected to the one up front?
  3. I agree with most. He/she should have confronted you instead, but 5 minutes isn't a big deal imo. BUT! While we're on the subject, I have a fucking block party going on across the street, with about 10 people staring into an open trunk with 2 12's that have just enough sound that I can hear them, so it's pissing me off. Going on 4 hours now.... I'd let them hear what my new build sounds like when done, but my garage will promptly be broken into if I do.
  4. Looks quite loud, man. Pics of the setup and definitely box! Need a wee bit of deadener and tighten them hitch bolts! lol
  5. I actually agree with this, should be a really nice sounding setup done correctly. If space is an issue, get a nightshade and call it a day.
  6. Do you have max dimensions? I only ask because my friend had a pretty hard time trying to fit 2 10's in an undersized box, even. Those holes in the back aren't too big if i'm thinking clearly.
  7. Can't comment on the reliability, although I haven't ever heard anything bad about them. But the 3500d is stout as hell, weighs in at a modest ~32 lbs o.O
  8. Ahh, I see. tnx for the insight, he's probably a little busier after SBN. Ordered them on monday on no word yet, but no real rush. Might be an increase in demand for him and XS since they make one hell of a product, and it's a damn good place to advertise, when it's being put to the test.
  9. Did you just get the m6/.25 option im assuming? And do you remember how long it took geoff to ship out the terminals? Can't really use them until my batteries get here but I hate waiting for shipping, lol.
  10. I assume you didn't have a fuse before your battery in the trunk? You could try taking that battery out of the equation and see what that does.
  11. xp3000 will be more or less the same as a d3100 for daily. 3000 actually has 10 more AH, but Nathan said you really wouldn't notice the difference between the two.
  12. Thanks for the response, Nathan! I ended up picking up the M6/.25 option, did alittle digging and M6 has a dia. of ~.24 I think? But I definitely did choose the wrong time to ask this question and to buy batteries...darn SBN, haha. Might be the longest next week and a half evar
  13. Placed an order for a 3100 and 3400 from mechman yesterday, was told a 2 week backorder.
  14. a 500 watt increase isn't going to be night and day usually, even going from 2k from 1k will, in a perfect world, yield a 3db increase, which you most likely wouldn't notice too much. Even if it 's not too much louder, you're around the same output while knowing your equipment's safe.
  15. meh...Go xs batts, or upgrade alt if you have bad drop imo
  16. Yep, you're getting rated power out of the AP's, not clean power.
  17. x2! I'm rocking a cde-123 and hoping i can get that high after i get a dd-1. I heard mine usually goes to about 24 or so, though. We'll see...
  18. added link to terminals to have a better idea of my question.
  19. Ah, some guy got approved for 3MTA3 or something along those lines, and then was told he had to change his plates after people in rearviews saw it.
  20. 120 pounds you say? What could that be Well, UPS came! And it definitely wasn't a few hdc3's and a crimper
  21. Missed them yesterday and got the dreaded "You weren't here to sign when we came" note on my door yesterday. 2 hours until work, ugh. You'd think they would have me a priority for the sake of gas, just drop off the 120 pounds and let me be happy, damnit. haha
  22. ummm....You should just have 1 positive from the big 3 to your battery. Go from the positive on your battery to the output stud on your alternator. From the negative on your battery to a good ground to the chassis. From the negative on your battery to an alternator mounting bolt. There are quite a few threads with nice writeups and pictures though, more helpful than any amount of words.
  23. See, the trick to make that sound better is make sure you segway. Totally got the abusing vibe for a second, lol.
  24. SPLoder. I just give mine fancy nicknames, was the sExplorer, after build it will be dubbed the FlExplorer
  25. Waiting for UPS is bad enough, Waiting for UPS living across the street from a school = running to the window every 5 minutes. My rage for all things school bus is building.
