    Oh how I love the oldschool amplifiers =) Cept for the fact that if you abuse it a couple times they take a crap on you...like my PPI did. =( Amplifier would match my subwoofers very well =X

    Take a 9v battery or AA battery, hook it up to your subwoofers. If they move, then the subwoofers are not your problem. Make sure everything is properly attached. A guy recently had the same problem, went to figure out his RCA weren't plugged in all the way. Sub woofer may be disconnected.

    I went there, they had nothing, so I ended up going with 10' x 4' carpet from ebay, I'm just going have it shipped from Detroit...which will be fast.

    Gotcha, yeah, I am not worried about the box coming apart. I am screwing it down together with glue on the boards. Since I don't own any 100ft clamps, I have to do everything with a staple gun, 1 3/4 mdf screws, and wood glue.

    Oh I normally use caulk to do that, but silicon would definitely work for that.

    Thought so. Although I used it on my box for my audiobahns and it works perfectly fine, it doesn't rattle or whatnot. But. I'm going to stick with glue. Thank you guys.

    Some guy who was from home depot was saying something about silicon is better than wood glue due to the fact that it doesn't warp up, it holds the wood together better, seals better, and has better texture. Is this guy shooting shit out of his ass? Going to be going to build a box and I want it top of the line of my expectations. Using 3/4 MDF.

    The sub displacement is .071 according to http://support.alpin...M_SWR-1242D.PDF I was looking at the current Type R 1243.. just make sure you have the old one. Thank you for bringing this up joe. Turns out it was the new one. Displacement is .100.

    No quoting...since I have such big fans here...and I'm a newbie in electrical (Just learning)..but it is a better "complete" circuit when it's connected to the battery ground...better connection = less volt drop, but...its really not noticeable. Big spl guys care about it tho. Me? I connect all my stuff to my frame for I only run 2000 rms...can't even do that much cuz I have to get a better alternator than my pos.
