  1. lol, the funny thing u said that cause i had 2 mtx 5500 15's in my truck with 500rms goin to each and i took those out and put my cerwin vega vmax 12's in there ina sealed downfire box and they walked all over those 5500's and took a wet shit on em, mtx is acually a good brand still but i think there gettin more like audiobahn for more looks less quality, i useto have a set of mtx 4000 10's that would sound like a 15, but i wanna try these re's, u think i can get 2 of these louder than my 15's with 500w rms goin to each? http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=4911 not tryin to thread jack tho, i love my 8000's but there acually the best sub mtx ever made that could take anything thrown at it and keep on goin strong, i had a set of mtx 6000 15's a few months ago befor i got these, lol i should of kept em tho, on of the cones was busted so i ca glued it back and it worked fine and got both of em for $75 but i got my mtx8000 15's in mint condition with a audio enhancers seald prefab box(witch is acually a really good box) for $60 =) but man ied go with re on what ur wantin to do tho man and those subs look beafy as hell
  2. my 680 has it, but ive seen an older 5600 have it also, but normally the premire 600 or pioneer 6000 series and up, and for the multi colored distplays start at 700-7000 series
  3. im not to sure about that, back in 95 i think my boy had 4 mtx 8000 12's off 2 or 4 mtx 1501d's im not sure and hit a 146.x with it so mtx isnt at all shit there acually pritty tough, i need more power for my 8000 15's tho i got 400rms goin to each and they shake everything on my truck but the cone aitn movein but 1/4'' so i kno i can get more out of it, my boy has one mtx 8000 15 i think his is dual 4ohm hooked to a pioneer 760 ina 2cf or 3cf sealed box and it fukin slamms good
  4. damn, if u consider to split it up ied take one of those 1500's off ur hands, but bump for a good dude and a loud as metro
  5. if the other buyer backs out i want it all, and the 17 blue terminals to, ima redo my 0guage so i can upgrade to a kicker 1500 cause my 1000d aint pushin those mtx 8000's like i kno they can be pushed, but anyways i got dibs on wire if other buyer backs out
  6. i want that wire, if i buy both sets will u throw in a couple terminals? and shipped to 28645? and is it pritty flexable?
  7. i got dibs on other amp, is it a power reference 1000d? and whats the price gunna be by chance, and it sucks to have shit stole, u cant trust anyone now a days
  8. hmm, i got a memphis 1000w(4 30amp) and a memphis 150.2(2 30amp) and a boss 600 watt(1 20amp) and i got a 150amp anl fuse up front but i got a 300amp anl fuse i can put in there if i want to, would 300amp fuse ona 0guage wire help get more current to my rear battery better?, and to fuse my other amps should i get a fused dist block to go from rear battery to each amp? lol i aint got that much room to bend wires around behind my seats and to keep it clean also? sorry to thread jack but this might help him also
  9. kinda off topic but what are the diff between a remote gain and remote bass knob? memphis has both and i thougth it just cut the gain up and down from the drivers seat, but they both look alike, and are they diff than useing the sub gain on the headunit? sorry to thread jack man but some info could pop up with ur question also, and u can get add on remote knobs that u put inline with ur rcas and turns em up n down just like a remote gain, u plug a lil set of rcas into the sub out of ur headunit, then plug ur rcas to ur amp to the female plug ends and do it that away and can use it for any amp or anything with rcas, heres a link to what im talkin about http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 hope this helps, but most amps use a diff pin# on the wire so most might not work with other amps of different brands
  10. lol, my stinger 4guage amp kit came with a 150amp anl fuse but it worked fine with my mtx 500d with 3 25amp fuses in it, lol when i had my amp ona 80amp fuse it blew in 3 diff spots inside the fuse houseing it was a maxi, but ied prolly put a 30amp fuse in for a 200w amp but keep the 80 for when u upgrade, and i like maxi fuses alot better than maxi fuses cause maxi's can wiggle around and get loose were a anl has nuts with lockwashers that hold it tightly in place and are easy to change to and look neat, anyways hope this helps
  11. hmm, nvm man ima get the cdplayer, i dont think ied use this tho, i dont watch to many movies anyways, but bump for a good dude with a hell of a price this is a cheaper price than one of those duals or jensens, buy
  12. hmm, i would really want that power supply, i was wantin to do a lil distplay in my room with a sony 600w4ch and prolly my ipod or somethin with some componits and my 10'' jlwo would look kewl, so its [email protected]? hmm would be kewl to test stuff with, if u can hold it for me till the end of this week i'll get it man, for a 10amp power supply @ radioshak is about $120 so this will work perfect for what im wantin to do, and do u need to use both power n ground's or can u just run one to a dist block?
  13. does it have the hideaway brain or is it all in one unit? the cdplayer im lookin at now is $250 and im leanin twards this more tho, i'll halfto pick tho does it come with remote?
  14. and on the wireing kit, the wires from headunit goin to factory amp unhook those, and take out teh wires from back of factory amp, his was right behind factory radio, and hook those into the wireing kit, i got one at walmart for his truck, and they went right into the wireing kit and just wire those up to ur headunit and should be good from there but if u start spliceing wires these are what ive used and have worked best for me, http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 these are awesome and if u got to do is clamp it over the wire u want and then hook the suplied spade connector onto the headunits wire in coraspondince with the wire ur useing and just plug it in and go from there
  15. reset ur freq controles, like bass/mid/high that fixed mine, sometimes mids distort when u got ur treble n mid set to high, and make sure u got ur hpf set on ur headunit, it takes time to play around with it to get it to work and soundin good, ied set the bass/mid/treble on the headunit to zero and turn it up to the 35 and see if it distorts and back off on the gain on the amp a lil then set the hpf on the amp(if it has one) to around 80-120htz and set the headunits to highest setting then when the signal is clear start adjusting the bass/mid/n high on the headunit till it sounds the best
  16. np man, took me alot of trips to my buddys stereo shop to get it to work right and the only way he thought of it was one of his buddys useto be in sq comps and he said that guy worked like 4 months on his car and when he was done once he cranked the car to pull it out of the garadge he hurd the awfulest ground noise he ever heard, and this was the only way he could get it fixed and he told me about it, and he also said he fixed ground noise by turnin the amp around to face the oppasite derection and the noise stopped, its wierd how somethin can be damn nere perfect sometimes and just the little things makes u halfto almost tear out everything to get it to work, i worked my ass off for 8hrs makein my geo's wires clean as i could and once i crunk my car i got that evil ground noise and it pissed me off so bad, i took everything out and redone it and found out my subs rcas was ran by my power wire, but that was when i was a real noob and didn't kno ish, lol, but this site has taught me so much it aint even funny, smd ftmfw! lol great site to have on hand if u need a quick answer from knolageable ppl, hope everything works out well with ur system man
  17. umm, i got a link i made in my thread on how to fix this and it has pics, and its how i have mine now and it works perfect, ground loop isolators never worked for me, and is the ground noise comein from subs or interior speakers, and are they ona seperate amp ur mids n highs, and are ur power wires away from rca's? im askin this cause ive piddled with my headunit for about a month tryin to get rid of the ground noise and this is the only way i could get it to work right, and still does to this day, u only halfto do one of ur rca's on each side, like 1 on front rca and 1 on rear rca, thats all, subs shouldn't have ground feedback unless ur powerwire is nere ur rca's, u can run ur remote wire down the same side as ur rca's and speakerwires just not ur power wire, hope this helps and i think someone needs to call pioneer and let them kno about this thing, i love pioneer headunits but i hate ground noise they give. heres the link to the ground noise page i made, http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=15452
  18. the only reason i put that it takes more power to make a higher freq tone than a lower one is it takes more power to drive a speaker faster than it does to move it slower, and an amp does is take a dc current and convert it to an ac current at a higher amprage to a alternating freq, its just physics, and yes it does take more power to do a higher htz tone than it does a lower htz tone cause when i had my other 15's in my truck when the bass hit high notes the lights would dim but i could play low bass all night long and get no dimming at all thus for more power to make a higher freq than a lower one, thats why most sub amps are class d and mids n highs are class a/b and thats why class a/b's get hotter cause it takes more current to make higher freqs than it does lower ones, i hope i made myself clear im not a noob at this stuff cause ive seen it done in electronics class
  19. these are battery operated ice cubes that are fully incased and are made from a non toxic sillicone that can be frozen and put into a drink and has 3 steady colors and a multi color flash and this site also has all kinds of neat shit like glow hair jell and body jell and all kinds of other ish, heres a link to the cubes http://www.houseofrave.com/lightcubes.html
  20. haha thats funny shit
  21. i wonder if these will work good? http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 i just need somethin blowin across my amps (there under my box on the floor board and my box is downfire so there out of sunlight and they got built in fans i just want a lil more air) do anyone kno witch way the fans blow in memephis amps? i unno if its in or out if its in can i put a fan on top of it sence its got vents on the top of the amp or put another fan next to it pulling up to help curculate air, i mostly need one for my 150.2 sence its a/b and gets warmer than my 1000.1d, it gets warm but not hot but i just want it to run cooler tho so a cross flow fan or one of these pullin air out http://www.darvex.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Sc...Product_Count=1 do u think that will work best?
  22. lol i baught a program from big lots for $4 to were i can take music off anyones ipod and put it on my comp, i can turn my ipod into a memory stick kinda thing to backup programs n sutch onto it and so on the name of it is i music tools made by cosmi www.cosmi.com hope this helps man i feel u on loadin 70gb worth of music, i useto have 78gb of music on my hd in my comp till i reformated it and forgot to unhook the other hd (backup) and lost 13,000+ songs but anyways good luck
