it was in his workshop with lights on so it was kinda inbetween but it was at idle but it does it while im driveing to, this is makein me mad cause i gotta set my amp to were my lights dont dim, i mean its not a prob wit voltage drop it dont drop below 13.xx when drivein or idle i just dont get it, i would do the big three but some ppl say it can mess up the stock alt in the long run, but my buddy said to wire the cap in with the battery and it should fix the whole light dimmin problem, ima take out my 8guage to my mid n highs amp and wire it 4guage off the rear battery so it wont pull current off front to, ima play around with it some time, im thinkin bout puttin in my 8000's n wire it to 2ohm instead of 1ohm and see if that changes it any, my amp puts out 600w@4ohm, 800w@2ohm, and 1000w@1ohm [email protected] but i was wondering if they made some kinda resistor that u can drop the ohm load down to 1ohm from 2ohm so i can get 1000 watts to my 15's instead of 800, i unno there 500wrms 1000 max each single 4ohm 15 2 of em, im just askin this here so i dont halfto kill bandwidth from another thread for just one question

i bet thats gunna be a bitch to wire up, does the amp have the kinda settin featurs like the 360 or does it just have like analog dials u turn? and tryin to figure out what wire goes to what speaker, steve meades pationence ftmfw! , good luck on the final outcome wit the system bruh, and a good mastercard comercial, $80,000 worth of audio equitment, $5,000+ of wire, $4000 or so air ride system, but havein the skill to work a full time job and still put out pro craftsmanship and install out of a carport PRICELESS!

im agreeing with him^, its like a shops display on wheels, just devide all the boxs off from each other and put the amps ona switch pannel likes ona distplay so they can hear what they are lookin for cause if its like 8 15's and the kid only has money for 12's or 10's ued get a more efficent way of selling and a new way to bring out the lvl5's, and no to go off topic but have u guys thought about makein a componit set? i didn't kno if yall just made subs or what not but dc mids n highs would look sick, ied love to see a set of lvl5 6&1/2's and the tweeter has to be massave to lol, but anywho it would look sick if u did like deephitterz did and devide the truck down the middle with blue on one side and black on the other to match your colors already and put dc audio logos all over the truck that would look killer wit some kinda graphics or somethin just my $.02

my kicker ks 65.2 componits get loud as hell and dont distort one bit and have some pritty good sq and midbass, ive never heard any mb quarts in person yet so i can only say kicker but kicker ftw

ive got good grounds and when i bump the hell out of it my voltage dont drop below 13.xvolts, and the cap is stinger so i dont see why it wont ive used it befor and it worked well, i hate haveing to set my amp to were it dont make my lights dim and i still got this good electrical, i would do the big three but i dont want to do all this work and it end up being somethin lil, i unno i was gunna try one of those battery isolators stinger makes and see if that makes a diff but thats just to much damn wireing tho, i'll play around with it and see what i get, i use the voltage read out on my headunit, but im wondering if that reads off front battery or not, and if i wire a second voltage guage to rear battery wont it pickup front battery also? lol this is wierd but u gotta learn some how

well the other day i was up at my uncles havein him help me put in my fog lights on my truck and i was lettin him listen to my radio, well the truck was off and i was playin it as loud as i usally do then i was like " i wonder how much my fog lights will dim" so i turned em on and they didn't dim one bit, and then i turned on the headlights, and still no dimming with the voltage stayin at a perfect 12.0 volts, never droped down below that and i was playin the hell out of confederate railroad, but a long story short, when i got my truck runnin at night with lights on they dim when the bass hits but befor wit the truck off they didn't, i dont kno whats doin this, my buddy said if i added my cap back with my battery in the back they wont dim with the truck runnin but i got a sp800 battery that should be fine i dont see why not, my mids n highs amp is ran off a hole nother power wire, sub amp wired from front battery to rear n from rear to amp in 0guage, and mids n highs amp ran from front battery to amp with 8guage, now on that note i dont think that lil wire will throw off that much current that bad, i was wondering if i ran that amp to my rear battery and get rid of the 8guage all together if that would make much diff, and i was gunna change the wire from my battery that goes from battery neg to finder, i asked my bro in law if that would make much of a diff and he said that was there more than likely for my lights in the front, i was like hmm i unno, it looks like 8guage or 10 i was gunna up it to 4guage and see what that does for me, any sujestions why my lights dont dim when trucks off but when trucks on they do? i was thinkin engin draw but alt should put back voltage, i think they said my stock alt is 130amp and i got a 930amp duralast gold top in front and sp800 in back i dont see what the prob is i didn't have this prob wit my honda with the 500d and cap, with my headlights on bright and car runnin and system on full tilt my voltage never droped below 14.x volts, this is wiggin me out why it does this, need help plz

all i can think of is split off the rear rca outputs and run those to your subs and set the amp to low pass and should work from there with a y adaptor

i had a set of 10's just like those and they acually do get loud, everyone thought i had 12's or a 15, they were ina dual chamber 2cf sealed box hooked to one of those walmart vr3 amps the 4channel, and that bitch wanged, ive ran and old set of kicker comp 10s and a set of mtx 4000 10's off that amp and that shit was loud, but now ive got better and learned more but atleast the kid is tryin, hopefully after time he gets better, and same thing wit the trophie i never went to a show with what i got so i unno bout that, but i do think those might be capable of a 130 with a burp but not on music, there loud but only in the right box, my box was made from oak dad had laying around

i got the kicker ks's and they get loud as hell and clean with 0 distortion no matter how loud u wanna crank it, out of 150 ied give em no more than 100watts and they kick out some good midbass too

lol, i love mtx amps, my 500d pushed 775 watts @2ohm , and ive seen that 1501d push right at 2000 watts at 2ohm at 14.4v with propper power, my buddy put 2 1501d's on 4 mtx 8500 1504's ina toyota camery and that bitch slammed , i say one of those 1501's will be plenty but overkill ftw , im lookin twards one or new 9208 or somethin for my mtx 8000's, i need somethin that will push around 1000watts @2ohm with minamal current draw, let me kno how that new 1501 is gunna do and i might pick one up, i was gunna get an older one but those dont have fans in em n i like fans to keep my ish cool and i wanna do a matching set of amps like i did wit my memphis's, good luck wit the system and hope all goes well for ya homie

amp gain to high?

lol, what about me i did the hole titorial , my pioneer did that till i did this and it works perfect, but dont ground at the amp, u ground at the headunit or it wont work, mines been like this for a yr now and its played fine, hope this fixs ur problem, it did mine

you got the right harnes u just gotta play around with the plugs, i put one in my bro in laws blazer, all 3 of those plug into that black thing and the yellow wire plugs into the black thing with the brown and orange wire comein out of it, they will only go in there one way so u cant rly mess it up, then match up the wires with the hu's wireing harness and presto, and yes u got the right harness

i got a set of kicker ks 65.2's in the front, and a set of ds 6.5's coax in the back wit some chrome qpower tweets hooked to a memphis 150.2 and they scream, and ya u can use em off the headunit but if ur gunna run an amp ied just wire em from it to save time runnin wire, mines been like this for about a yr or so now and its been fine, the little xover in the tweet works fine mine did, but sometimes u can get shitty tweets like i had befor and on my old pioneer head unit i had em ran off an amp and when ied change the tweeter freq on the headunit it blew up the xover in the tweet, lol, but aint had that problem now so iunno, u can run em off a headunit but wont be as loud as with an amp, hope this helps alot, but if ur gunna run em off front speakers, just tap into were the wires go into the speaker and go from there instead of runnin new wires for nothing, and tweets dont rly have an independance and i dont kno why cause mine dont, so u aint gotta worry about it goin to low on the headunit, i had 2 sets of tweets in my geo, one wired to front, and one wired to rear speakers and they was screamin, ive never had a prob wit em so u can try and see what happins
