im also lookin for this question, like with my pioneer hu its got a high pass xover built in and if i wanted to set my componits with my amp do i set the xover on the hu to off and then set the high pass freq to what ever i need them to play? and my mids n highs amp is a memphis 150.2 and i cant turn it up to the first notch cause its so damn loud, i got it wired to 2ohm and cant turn my amp up cause its got to much power but what i was wantin to do is have my mids n highs play good midbass and just have my subs for the low end and some mid to fallow threw with the overall sound

i got a 40 series 2chamber flowmaster and mine sounds like its got duals but its single put in place of were the stock muff was, its got a nice deep tone to it and gets up and goes like no bodys buisness, and my tacoma is v6

i got 2 noise tickets, 1st one was $130 cause i had to go to cort and 2nd was $50 i just had to pay that ticket, but when i drive im always lookin in my rear views and i keep my remote in my hand the hole time im driveing so if i see a cop i can hit acc for a min and then back to bumpin, i understand a noise ordanance(sp) but if someones drivein like on the highway threw town i wouldn't give a shit but ina resodencial(sp) area were ppl tryin to sleep and someone ridein down by there playin there music loud as shit at 2am i can picture a ticket but if its from 10am to 10pm i think ppl should get that much time atleast cause as much as most guys put into there systems i'll be damn if i aint gunna see what it will do every now and then

i got 2 mtx 5500 15's ina down fire box below window line in my truck, i think its 4 cubes and it slams hard, ppl dont kno wtf is in it, i like downfire more cause it reminds me of how a car would act if the subs was faceing back, just make sure they are around 3'' off the ground if u build ur own box or the sub will hit the floor, my box has 4 chambers in it, 2 lil ones on the ends so i can run my wires threw and use my 6&1/2's as rear speakers, and 2 in the middle sealed devided wit the 15's in it, just make sure the deeper the box the deeper the sound, i found that out the hard way, but to big of a box and they sound like shit, and my buddy kevin put 2 of the pioneer shallow 12's ina lincon truck powered wit a mtx1501d and that shit was loud and hit mad lows, ied do the down fire it saves space and would be a bitch for someone to steal my subs, its gunna take me bout 6hrs just to change mine out to my mtx 8000's, and it gives a more cleaner look to, but if i was u ied make a trim piece wit a grill over were the sub sets off the ground so nothin goes back there and gets beat all to hell by the speakers, hope this has helped u in ur jorney on down fire sealed boxs, i was wantin to do a ported down fire but doesnt make much sence, mtx has some prebuilt for suv's to go behind the 3rd seat, but anywho thats my $.02

how much u willin to spend? i got my memphis for around $280 brand new, but they dont have the older ones like mine anymore
