  1. If you can't physically scrub them off its most likely from acid rain damaging your clearcoat, I would wet sand with 2000 grit lighty and buff repeat if necessary, be careful to not go through the clear coat, if your not experienced with this or comfortable take it to a professional.
  2. Hmmm sounds like my Blazer the stereo rattled the pins loose in the switch for my hazard lights and it caused my parking lights to work but when I pressed the brake I had nothing but the top 3rd brake light... Sometimes I would or wouldn't have turn signals... If I played around with the switch it would sometimes work.
  3. How did you make the assumption that he is a redneck? Cmon dude...
  4. Looks pretty loud, but I think its gonna take a good bit more than that to break a 150.
  5. I assume he's talking about the loudest average in the 150-159.9, so basically whoever can maintain or come closest to a 159.9 every run will win.
  6. I didn't say I would drive an unmodified car, but my blazer turn into a rattle trap... drive down the road and you can he the interior panel squeak and carry on from being flex and abused by my stereo... I would never put a huge system in a new car... I'd use a new car with an SQ settle, single 8 or 10, with a nice set of 3ways... And personally I think it was stupid to wall a $35k car even if it is a Ford, but it your car so enjoy it... I was just stating my opinion.
  7. Hahaha the first thing I thought was... "Cool we now have bolts from an alternator holding the motor together" not exactly but look similar haha.
  8. I don't see the point of destroying a newer car with subs... My old stereo wreaked havoc upon my blazer... and it doesn't feel like its worth $10....
  9. I'm on my BB so its kinda hard to see, but if its those little vent thingys like the ones in the rear pillars of blazer, I just sealed mine closed with a ton of caulking.
  10. Try pulling your headunit of of you dash and letting it sit ontop your dashboard or something and playing it and see if it shuts off, if it does feel the back part of the chassis and see if its hot, and check the remote wire.
  11. See if your hu is getting too hot, mine got excessively hot and would turn the remote off... Put a relay in and used a 12g remote wire and problem solved. Edit: that was my old pioneer 5000ub and it was really cramped in my blazer dash.
  12. Tons of cone area (30 10s) and around the 40hz range at about 155db will start to do it lol... Randy's van was like a huge wind storm...
  13. Get a roller and roll it completely flat otherwise it was money and time wasted.
  14. Did you use a roller? and it doesn't have to touch every sq.in. of the trunk lol
  15. Old topic but cloth does lol... I like cloth way better... Just takes more layers usually to get the same strength and I lay it in different directions to make it stronger.
  16. I get a local guy to tint mine it warrantied for life, he tints all the local cars...
  17. Get some clamps as long as they work they work doesn't matter the cost... When I glue my wood I make sure to use a paint brush and smear it all the way across and then clamp it down TIGHT and wipe away the excess then I put a bradnail every 1.5-4"
  18. I use to use screws but its a huge waste of time... brad nails, glue, and clamps ftw... and double wood where you need to.... I've built alot of enclosures and have had 0 failures... Some pretty big ones too, such as 2 15s 3kwrms+ 8+ cuft (10.5 external) and have 0 flex or blowout problems.
  19. What are you talking about the input voltage or output voltage on the speaker terminals?
  20. ^^This, you need MEKP aka methyl-ethyl ketone peroxide
