  1. What do you think? ive been lookin at it for the last hour and cant decide what i wanna do. obviously would do a t-line for either of them. just cant decide if i wanna go with less cone area with less efficiency with more power or go with more cone area, more efficency, with less power.. also would need a bigger box for the one 15. but i think the 2 tens with the higher fs would have a better all around sound. Also the 1 15 is going to be moving way more air, but idk if that will have any kind of diffrence. "An efficient speaker helps you maximize your available wattage. Believe it or not, a 3 dB increase in speaker sensitivity produces the same audible increase in volume as doubling your amplifier power. So when you're shopping for speakers, it always pays to check the sensitivity spec — especially if you have a lower-powered receiver or amp. " the tens have about a 5 db lower efficiency then the 15 has. so that right there make wattage even out. lets debate it. 10" Electrical Q Value -Qes: 0.29 Mechanical Q Value -Qms: 4.3 Total Speaker Q Value -Qts: 0.27 Free Air Resonance -Fs: 30.7 Hz Equivalent Compliance -Vas: 21.8 liters One-Way, Linear Excursion -Xmax: 22 mm Efficiency -SPL 1W/1m: 85.2 dB SPL Effective Piston Area -Sd: 310 cm^2 x 2 for 620cm^2 DC Resistance -Re: 1.9 ohm Nominal Impedance -Znom: Dual 2/4 ohm Thermal Power Handling -Pe: 1000 W Force Factor -Bl: 21 15" Electrical Q Value -Qes: 0.38 Mechanical Q Value -Qms: 4.7 Total Speaker Q Value -Qts: 0.38 Free Air Resonance -Fs: 27.8 Hz Equivalent Compliance -Vas: 126.3 liters One-Way, Linear Excursion -Xmax: 22 mm Efficiency -SPL 1W/1m: 90.4 dB SPL Effective Piston Area -Sd: 810 cm^2 DC Resistance -Re: 1.9 ohm Nominal Impedance -Znom: Dual 2/4 ohm Thermal Power Handling -Pe: 1000 W Force Factor -Bl:
  2. lol after a nap i just noticed this myself? idk how the hell it got in here thought i put it in off topic not off topic vids.... FML.... and talkin about red navis sig

  4. i do for my test in 4.5 hours with no sleep / my field for mechanical engineer.
  5. its a calculation to find out what the required flow rate of a specific coolant through a roller bearring. in other words some fun stuff.
  6. yea so i got no sleep tired and its 2 here and got to be up at 7. going on day 5 doing this week.... im on number 11 and the problem is taken way to long to do and feel like taken a break.... heres where im at now. yea just procrastin cause im board and rather be on smd then doing this homeowrk and not thinken about this nonscence of a test tommorw....
  7. use the 12s as paper waits. mix and maching 2 diffrent size subs really is not a good idea but if you yreally want to put the subs up port back in an suv usually works the best.
  8. deff. going to try this on the t line i see potential

  12. you could possibly try some really really fine grit sandpapper. or maybe a buffer and some diff compounds. how stuck on is the stuff?
  13. i hope she sounds good, never made a box with them inline....
  14. thats for 8, for ten of them they would not have a diagram but it would be a 1.6 ohm load Edit: Are those subs only available in 4 ohms?
  15. yea like on the the baffle side my help it a bit. but dont make it to big. maybe stick out like 3 inces at the peak. also 45 that corner by the sub next to the vent i forgot to add one.
  16. also note that with the subs one after the other in the line it may affect it. i never really did a box like this so you will have to let me know. Usually if i have them in line i try to make a lil chamber then put a choke in it. but this should do fine.
  17. this would be right around 34 hz
  18. right now the subs are on the front and the port is out the side. you can just invert it if its a problem. but to make the subs and vent out the front all you have to do is move your subs over about ten inches or so and have the vent go all the way around. it would look goofy but would work.. i will draw it up quick
  19. wood is 3/4 mdf as usual. you should be able to get all your cuts off that. let me know if you need any more dims. edit: bigger pic -cliff
