  1. Zcons are underrated in my opinion, but not half power under rated. Have fun popping that sub with the bc3500. Why not save up for a second zcon and then get the 3500 instead of trying to take short cuts and end up having just to re cone your first zcon and buy a second zcon so u don't over power it again.
  2. You can also install a power programmer to increase your engine idle speed to 800 rpm. They give you more horsepower and better gas mileage as well. Going to an 800 rpm idle speed usually boosts idle output by 20% - 30% Sorry to thread jack. Where do you get those power programmers?
  3. Might be time for a blow though build bro. Gets your leg room back :-), I'm 6'3" I feel your pain on the leg room dude
  4. Strapping the amps to make them (one amp) would let you get back down to the 1 ohm load that you wanna be at with your particular amp. When people ask for GOOD CHEAP things, let's just get easy money.. And burn fat while were sleeping. Sorry bro but just take a deep breath and buy a DC power, mechman or something as your alt. do your electrical, I'd go another battery or 2 (total of 3-4) and a upgraded alternator, 240+ amps. 5k watts is one of those numbers where it takes A LOT more to support it. Kinda like a 600 watt system vs a 1200 watt system, there not too far apart as far as power goes but one you can run almost off ALL stock stuff, and the other you need to do significant electrical upgrades. Your at that level, anything over 2500 and it's a big step. Make sure your electrical is up to snuff and then buy the 2nd amp and enjoy.... OR buy the second amp and just run it at a rediculously high ohm load (to not hurt anything, maybe 4 ohms each amp) until you get your electrical anyways. The moral of the story is, it takes power to make power bro.
  5. Id gladly pay for each and every zip if they are on a legal site ect. Im just trying to find all of decafs work, and a few of those popular dub step mixes that just can't compete with some of todays newer songs. Idk how they all did it but i want it. Anyone help?
  6. im not sure on the math part, i just herd someone say that in JP's tahoe with 10 18's PSI, that his first 8 were fine but the 2 facing forward are canceling out sound. I sat in it over spring break nationals and it was the loudest daily driver there hands down. I was just curious if those back two are actually canceling the other 8. If you don't know JP, just picture chickens caddy with two more 18's facing forward at the back. all i know is two things... His tahoe was stupid loud... and when i do 4 15's in a civic i don't need my subs to cancel.
  7. BUMP please? i would like to hear what people gotta say on this topic!
  8. Maybe have some kinda colored smoke or something silly like red smoke and just throw whatever it is in the trunk, "seal it up" and toss on some bass.. hopefully whatever it is is orderless or something along those lines. Even white smoke would work you just need enough to completely fill a trunk after you seal it.
  9. Yeah just read through that one. Seemed like all stuff you would see on "how its made" or something like that. I was wondering from people who are in the sport and can tell me from experiences.
  10. I understand it might be hard to just explain with this open of a topic but id like to learn anything about subwoofer cancellation that anyone can share with me... Instances where placement and direction might cause it? I understand out of phase woofers will cause it I'm talking more on the lines of... ALL woofers are properly wired but DB are lost because of box design and sub firing direction.
  11. forgot to mention his 2500 has a system in it but he put it in when i was 14 so i wasn't as involved in car audio. He went to the local JL shop and got 6.5's in the front, and 5.5's in the back, with silk tweets all factory direct bolt in's with a 70 rms x 4 channel on them with 2 10's in a sealed box behind the seat. (4 door) But if i was to re do his system i would deff go crescendo for the price and that they are prob much louder then his JL's.
  12. I'm very familiar with your set up. I'm 20, my dad has a 2002 chevy HD 2500... as you may know gmc and chevy designs are almost exactly the same every year. The 6.5's should drop right in, and they are only 25$ each speaker plus shipping... unless you get 4 at the same time then its free shipping. However i would greatly recommend an amp on them as they are 150rms for the 6.5's. And a aftermarket head unit with 22rms per channel won't let them shine.
  13. the rules might ban us from suggesting certain products if we start talking about something vs something. Personally I'm a bang for the buck type of guy, so although there are things that might be better then my suggestion.. its pretty beastly for the price. Im going to be buying crescendo audio everything i can. 6.5's that are 150 rms for 25$ plus shipping..8's 200 rms 35 plus shipping... does it need to be more clear?
  14. 98 civc, i wanna know some tips so i can hit 145's on music with 2 FI Q 15's and a crescendo 3500. 220 mechman, 1/0 everywhere, 3 (total) XS batteries. I don't think the seats fold forward on the 98 civic.. if someone can answer that please too. Basically I'm trying to have a daily setup that plays good SQ and lows but still does mid 140's. Ported? sealed?
