Soooo... If I were to put a vm-1 to try to measure how hot my woofers were, where would I put the sensor to get a reading with out interfering. Not really for an exact coil temp reading obviously.... More just along the lines of, "shit, there is 180degree air in there, better give them a rest"

Ill just try to make sure I keep a nose out. I don't know why but since a XFL popped on me I've been crazy conservative on my woofers. Gain settings, trying to hold crazy high voltage .. Not playing them too long...

Reason I'm considering it is because occasionally I do go on long cruises where I'll have the volume 70-80% for over an hour or two! all decaf. So I'm kinda just thinking of all the preventive things I can do to my car to kinda keep my eyes on stuff or to make sure its extra safe for set it and forget it road trips

So does anyone think it would work or where to put it? I was just thinking that it would be a early warning system before stinky coils....I was just brainstorming since I'm really close to buying my tm1 to keep track of my amps temp

Would a Crescendo C1100.4 be overkill or perfect for a set of Hertz HSK165XL & Hertz HCX165 (rear fill coax).. Or would the Symphony 800.4 be good enough?

Wood, i tried the whole rear speakers thing. It might be ok for rear doors but rear decks are a no no, especially if your even trying to be remotely loud. Put that money into custom front doors with multiple hertz XL sets instead of rear speakers. After I got rid of my rear fill I never looked back and don't regret a single day.

can'tell if one of my subs is moving more than the other. on some songs they look in sync, some one looks like its moving more, on some the other looks like its moving more. think i'm seeing things.

Make sure all coils on all subs read 2ohms. I literally just had this same issue 3 weeks ago with the same soft parts you have
