Upon first glance, it does seem that the return was processed improperly. I am following up with our warranty manager to confirm this. More troubling to me are the issues you had dealing with our customer service department; as frustrating as it can be to blow a tweeter, I know that it can be infinitely more frustrating to deal with the "run-around" that it seems you were given. This is the first I've seen of this, so I can't give you a better resolution at this moment, but please rest assured that this is sincerely my #1 priority until it is resolved. (I fully agree that the location of the "Authorized Internet Dealer" can be a bit misleading, although the specific information about the product's warranty policy/provider are contained in the product description. We are working on some aesthetic changes to the site that will prevent such a misunderstanding from recurring.) Sincerely, Daniel Z.

We've checked with our techs, and we recommend these models in place of the Shuriken, as they have the same threads.   12. OP, your order exceeded our available quantity of several parts. We are expecting more of these accessories to be delivered within this coming week, but we can offer potential upgrades/substitutions instead, if available. I'm having one of our Customer Commitment Representatives contact you directly to discuss the potential options. We've been unexpectedly busy for this time of year. It's certainly not a bad problem for us to have, but it's made it difficult to maintain the same level of customer service & quick processing that we are known for. We held a recent job fair to grow our support team, and our new employees are just finishing training, so we should be back to normal soon.   13. Mario928, we sincerely apologize for the condition of your battery. As other SMD members have mentioned, Kinetik batteries do have a proclivity to swell up or bubble under heat or stress. The battery was inspected prior to shipping, so we have initiated a damage claim with the shipping courier used. Under normal circumstances, we would ship you a replacement battery immediately; however, the HC1400 is currently out of stock. I am PM'ing you with several options to resolve this issue, as well as the direct contact information for one of our Customer Commitment Supervisors so you can contact us at your convenience.

To answer the rest of your question, backorder times really depend on the availability from the manufacturer/vendor.
