i would def move the sub as far from the port as possible...like u said and that small box for an 18? granted i know about zero about the subs...seems super small though..

true...i dont know enough about clipping to give any further opinion than i already have

everybody has their opinion on clipped signals... but in MY opinion i agree with that statement if your running a 200watt amp to a nightshade for example...i dont think any amount of clipping will damage it...but if u run its rated rms i think there is def a potential for damage..

there is a diff between clipped and a square wave and that shit is a square wave...bad news... a 'soft clip' shouldnt really hurt anything...square waves are bad news though..

yea...looked like the tinsel was going thru the terminal and touching the basket, which would cause it to short and cut in and out like u described.... glad u got it fixed...

p.s. i am not responsible for any problems due to low voltage... which honestly shouldnt be a problem with two alts...

if the amp is on then its gotta be a loose connection or bad rca's ...or your sub-out is turned off on the headunit...lol...sounds dumb...but im guilty of that one..
