  1. So I've been out in the dark for a while figured I'd pop in and share some news.. Just turned 21 back on Monday, hell yeah free beers. Family and friends all came to the bar for a surprise party during a "last minute shift" I got called in on assholes haha. Had a blast with that and the longest hangover in my life so far.. Busting my ass to fund a build for my 4 door starting with 2 of Skar's VVX-12D4s being ordered Tuesday and all the goodies to go along with that. Gave a few demos with my basic pos entry setup and fried an amp.. Ah well time to do everything right from now on out
  2. Payday needs to get here so I can get my order in to Kevin for some VVX-12D4s -_- Then its time to rip my car apart and Second skin it to hell and back

  3. These 3 are what's left of the bridge that went straight to the main road out here. The back road to get to my house. The local boat ramp to the creek, you can't even see the dock rails today. Ofcourse the local mall, I snapped this one before trying to come home yesterday. Luckily I was in my Silverado at the time.
  4. We've got a creek that runs through our town, Black Creek, and its hit past 22ft deep and has over flowed. Hasn't been this high since 1914. It was dark and they couldn't tell how bad that spot was and if it could bare weight of a vehicle. I'll be working with these guys in a few months so telling them to fuckoff wouldn't have been very smart lol
  5. I've had a bridge collapse, a road completely wash out, and another road slowly buckle.. all three of them get me to my house. The local Sheriffs wouldn't let me through. They let me walk across the short and buckled area to get some family out. I'm just west of Orange Park and Jacksonville in Middleburg. I'll try and get some pics up soon
  6. Just west of Jacksonville, Fl and my yards catching all the neighbors run off -.- Work's getting flooded out too
  7. Subwoofer 1 just turns the subs on or off and whether theyre normal or reverse, subwoofer 2 changes the the frequencies. Did you mix up your rcas during the install?
  8. Pull your head unit and check all of your wiring. It looks like you connected the orange/white striped illumination wire to a speaker lead.
  9. Well you could also just run them without a crossover but with a bass blocker on the tweeter. My understanding was further.tuning using the crossover after the amp. But multiple amps depending on how many sets your going to run in each stage; I mustve missed that part in your OP. A set front and rear, then a good 4chan amp and a mono amp for the sub would do the job
  10. If your headunit has 3 sets if rca outs, then you should have front, rear, and subwoofer outputs. You *could* run each output to its own dedicated amp and then tune that amp alone; cutting out the need for a processor. Just my 2 cents. Each amp would then run to your.crossover then respective component and tweeter.
  11. Picked up my car tuesday, ended up getting a 2008 Chevy Aveo LS sedan :> Little gas saver; digging around in the stereo system on it before I order subs. Been looking at alot of different brands. I definately see a custom box coming with the trunk having 12ft^3 of trunk space. Narrowing a few brands down on the 12s.
  12. I'm checking out trunk space and electrical before I set my mind one one car. I'm liking the idea of 12ft^3 I'm not really working with a set budget. I've got the money put away and working full time. I don't think that he is looking into specific woofers yet since he hasn't bought his new car, I think he is looking for brands that are (for a lack of a better term) on top of their game now since things have changed since 8 or so years ago The brands listed above is a pretty good summary of some to look into I don't remember seeing over half of these brands 8 years ago. But I was a youngin playing with stereos back then. Digging through brands and specs right now.
  13. Well I've been out of the loop of the audio worldfor quite some time now. Been doing some tweaks here and there but its time to get back into the bass. I've been running an OLD set of 12" Pioneer ts-w1204s from around 2004, and after 8 years of me and my dad abusing them they've finally took their final hits. I've been looking around and already checked out Alpine type rs, dc audio, sundown, and skar for a new set of 12s but I'm still looking at options. So my real question's what other brands are out there? I'm not really sitting on a budget or biased as long as they can perform for the price. I'm also getting a new car in a month or so, so building a new box is planned for the future. If anyone can toss some more options my way, i'd appreciate it. ~Ryan
  14. Just ordered the last available according to Amazon.. Excited to get this in the mail and demo for the guys (: Thanks Steve and Psyph.
