The thing with melafix and pimafix is they seem to be hit or miss on if they actually work, I've never had any luck with either.
If you do daily water changes and keep the temp up and salt in the tank that's the best chance you're gonna give him.
Usually cloudy eye is a water quality issue so keeping up with the water changes should help.

Haven't used conditioner in years. We have a soft water system. But when I start a brand new tank I use prime the very first time
