  1. I think it will barely do rated but I could be wrong. I can't see RF putting a label on their budget amps if it won't do rated output... My guess on the audiotek is 1327 watts total, amp looks small to be doing anywhere near 1200w MAX..
  2. I popped the hood on my truck to adjust my headlight and noticed a sizzling/hissing noise coming from under the hood. I thought it was the engine or cooling system at first since I was just driving it but it appears that it's coming from the battery. I have a 2003 Chevy S10 Xtreme,3400 underhood,D1200 in the cab, with an Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt. charges about 14.8 when first cranked then goes to around 14.4 once warm, battery voltage was resting at 12.89V when I tested it after hearing the noise from battery.
  3. Yes you can use those,I have the same setup on my D3400 using OEM cables on side but I'm using RF battery terminals on top..
  4. When you post in a "FUCK THAT post" and don't say fuck that anywhere in your post.. FUCK THAT lol
  5. Now I'm a little jealous and aggravated,my first purchase from them was a little over $2K and I've made about 30 or so purchases from SE.. Congrats on the grill though..
  6. It has a line level control though,it makes a big difference in sound.. I just don't think the line levels should be all the way up because I believe that increases the input voltage on the rca's to the amp..
  7. There already was.. "SAZ4500 on stock electrical.." "I doubt it dropped below 11.5 volts.." He'll get it straight though I'm sure
  8. dude you dropped well below 11.5 with a 4.5 k on stock elect. I'm running a T2500 bdcp , T600.4 , T400.4 and P500.4,had a 220 amp Stinger alt with 2 runs each +/-,big 3 all with 1/0 wire with an XS Power D3400 and D1200 and was dropping to 12.2. Had to put stock alt back in for about week and a half and wouldn't even turn my system on bcus it was dropping to 11 and below.. Got a 300 amp Excessive Amperage alt, problem solved, don't drop below 13.6 now but still going to either add another battery or upgrade the D1200 to keep it over 14. Good luck with that setup, you really need to turn that gain down bcus that sub can't handle that power as CJ said.
  9. Stock electrical with a SAZ4500..Well no wonder it's making noises, you're probably dropping to around 10 volts.. Do the big 3,get a HO alt, some AGM batteries like XS Power and all 1/0 wire.
  10. I seem to be having problems setting my gains using the 360.3,I have to turn .3 level input all the way up and still don't get 1khz detect until I start turning amp gain up. I can turn amp gain all the way up and still get no distortion on DD-1??? I initially set the gains before the .3 just to know distortion levels of the amp but had to adjust them by ear once I hooked up the .3 bcus of the signal/detect problems I'm having. Been running like I originally set it for months now with no problems,.3 input levels are around halfway for all channels and I just made adjustments with the amp gains. It's possible that I could be clipping at times bcus of where amp gains are at but none of them are high at all. I'm guessing I need to turn all the .3 input levels all the way up then adjust amp gains with DD-1 accordingly but can't get it to work properly with the .3.. I've set quite a few amp gains with the DD-1,one with a PAC LC-1 but none with a DSP inline,I've tried several different things but so far none have worked. I'm wanting to redo all my gains for tweeter amp,mid amps and sub amp. Any input would be appreciated..
  11. Welcome to the forum McCray, you're going to do well with the setup you told me about. Make a build log once you get familiar with the forum and start on your build.
  12. He hasn't said anything about it being over yet so I would assume it's still going. My code didn't work either but I replied to the email to let them know and they got me a code that worked the next morning.
  13. I hope you're getting video of him when he picks up this bad ass Chevelle,I know he's going to be thrilled when you hand over this masterpiece.
  14. I was just about to post about this, got it in an email from Sonic.. Awesome
  15. yeah they'll take "ANY" volt meter. I actually bought one from Ebay for $5 that plugs in to cig lighter and sent it to them instead of my new stinger. He said this would last til he said otherwise so it's still going on.. Got my coupon code today, gonna wire my VM-1 to my sub amp and the stinger to truck battery power.
  16. This was great other than by the time I got my popcorn finished he was already on a perm vacation... What a moron
  17. Hell yes, what a deal, thanks alot Steve.. My Stinger is brand new but I'd rather have the VM-1 so guess I'll be sending it in..
  18. That was some shady ass install work right there but it'll be right once you're done with it.. I would love to be a fly on the wall at that audio shop when the owner got back from looking at the car,I can only imagine how that convo went
  19. I would think there would be no clipping, why would they put the -15 track on there if it was going to clip? I used the -15 track to tune my old P1000.1 for my mothers truck and that 5 year old amp and subs seem to be doing just fine. I don't have the proper tools to clamp my amps after I set them so I can't answer the question
