  1. no laughing i promise We are just trying to get all the midwest folks together, try and get some folks some mic time. And talk about how we can get more shows up in here. All for fun
  2. Being that the midwest region this year wont be having lots of shows, we were looking to see how many of you would be down for a midwest get together. My team has two mics, and lots of space to get together. Would anybody be down for meeting up in Des Moines for a little test and tune? Beers, some BBQ and some good times anybody down?
  3. Lol this is great, I hear this alot at shows. People that will come up to you before the show and tell ya they got a 160, you go over and look at the setup cause you are thinking (Damn a 160 this dude is loud) till you walk up, kid pops his trunk and there sits 2 L5s on all of 800 watts. Kind of feel bad for the kid when he runs it though the lanes in qualifying and pegs a 134 :D These types of guys are all over. They used to piss me off, but now its pure entertainment lol.
  4. Most promoters will have them, but there comes a point in a person’s life where trophies really don’t matter. I have so many damn trophies every where it kind of gets old. They end up just taking up space lol. I think there was only one show I went to last season that didn’t hand out trophies.
  5. Omaha has alot of shows. USACi world finals are actually held in Omaha (for the next 2 years) Solo as far as join up with our team, go to our website http://www.notoriouslyloudmafia.com and click contact us. Drop us a line and I can get some more info too you as well as an application.
  6. If you are planning on starting a team it can be kind of hard. Just make sure that the guys you get on your team are true friends. Start off small too, if you try and grow your team too large things just get out of control. Look for a group of people that you want to spend all your time with, cause you will be. There is nothing worse then having someone on the team that is going to cause problems. I know of lots of different already established teams in the Midwest, it just kind of depends on what kind of team you are looking at being a part of. Good luck
  7. Bro I don’t want to come off like a dick, but if you are pouring concrete into a car for car audio, I would think you would know about what rules would needed to be followed. Most people don’t just jump into Extreme classes without knowing these things. Maybe before you start pouring concrete, you should sit down and read the rule books. Again not trying to be a dick, but just something to think about.
  8. not sure how far you are way from Iowa but we have some shows, i know NE has lots of USACi but again not sure how far that is for ya, and how far you want to drive. As far as audio clubs yes there is quite a few in the midwest, I myself have a team based out of Iowa, but we have members all over.
  9. This cup looks better and better every year.
  10. This sounds very cool Sam. I think this will help bring folks in the lanes to watch the drama of a good match.
  11. Really hard to say, I know my local shop charges $30 an hour. But I have heard of some shops charging as much as $45 an half hour. Best bet is to just call your local shop and see what they say. Most places like if you call ahead anyways, because they normally have to clear out a spot for you in the bay.
  12. Just looking to see who is in the midwest and into db drag/USACi/midwest spl/meca/bassrace....etc.
  13. Thanks Rusty. I hope to play with the loud crowd soon
  14. Thanks man, and yeah no joke about getting as loud as mike lol. The wall setup will be 4 FI BTL 18s with 2 ddz2 amps, with 6 D3100 batts. Still will be running 14volts for now, but i am hoping to break the low 60 mark with burp, mid 50s on music *crossing fingers*. I have been looking at either a swapable port for daily and SPL or a bandpass with some sort of removable wall. Still lots of planning going on, i have been working on getting this setup for over a year now, finally have most of the equiment but now i have to start looking at all the small details lol.
  15. lol cool thats kind of where we were thinking it would peak at as well. I will be moving up too the big stuff soon Just need to hit this show for the points. Do you have any tips or tricks that you would be will to share about walled astro's, i want to be loud like the SPL2K king ? Thanks for your input and fast reply Michael.
  16. Both would be good to know, but for now without wall. I will be walling in the next month, but for this show, i will be no wall.
  17. Looking for some help, I need to find out what the peak frequency of a 98 astro is. My teams meter is broke and being sent out to Wayne, and I have show coming up April 25th, can anybody help a fellow spler out ?
  18. 160 for the first setup is little out there, I mean, have you ever heard a 160, seen a 160 car, or know what kind of money goes into that? This by far is no small task, shit there is people that chase 160s for years. I would have to agree I would start smaller; get the idea of SPL first before you start shooting for the top. Not trying to kill your dreams man, but 160 is LOUD. Good luck with your build, hope you get that number. See ya in the lanes
  19. Anybody that knows Team Baldman knows about the baldman punch. This shit is great, easy to make, and kicks the party into high gear Little bit different then your normal jungle juice, but it is great. 2 40oz can of pineapple juice not sure about the size of the cans just guessing i never looked at the cans 4 shots of 151 4 shots of triple sec 4 shots of apple pucker 4 sots of cherry pucker 4 shots of captain morgain 2 shots of everclear if you want 1 can of red bull 4 shots of grenidene, cherry flavoring. finish off with hawain punch makes one gallon
