Noob needing advice on 4 18"s application
Eric B replied to BozzMazzi's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Get some Sundown Audio Z v.2 18s. Sound AWESOME! One of the smoothest sounding, accurate 18s I've ever heard. -

Idk it didn't look like it. She could of though, have had a few complain about the low notes (sub 30hz) were bruising there ears. But IMO, its not loud. Still going to aim for my goal, 155 @ 25hz. Already at 151.5! -

Was it all stock suspension? Ive beat on my new Nightshades v.2 pretty damn hard and nothing has broke, just curious was something wrong after all the playing below tuning and such? First 20 minutes of life my Nightsades saw was 20Hz free air on 550 clamped watts, they sure were scootin.. lol good times..

Nightshade v.2 SOLD OUT
Eric B replied to sundownz's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
I know why they sold out. There awesome subs and take alot of abuse, just like any other Sundown sub. There well worth the money and the cooling on these suckers is awesome! -
Calling out anyone. Who says they're loud!!! $1000 cash prize!!!
Eric B replied to dwright27's topic in Competitors Corner
I may be there also. -
Come to finals, you'll have a good time. But that was a MidwestSPL show. Costs less than a dB drag show or any really. More geared for fun and bringing new people in and of course help the retailer out, my local shop has seen a great increase in shows after he started holding competitions and he wants to do more which is awesome. Everyone plays in a role in the dealer decsion on holding a how again. Down talking a retailer that's went out of his way to spend his money to host a show for someone to just rag on him is extremely disrespectful and obsurd.

Worth a shot... wanted to see some new faces.

An excessive amount of resin can actually crack. If your going for sealing or making something smooth, might as well use poly urethane or something.
-
Why would you run a sub from my understanding that has no form of cooling besides what available from the basket and a tighter gap over a sub that atleast has a pole vent for a little more cooling and not tight as gap in daily application, makes no sense to me at all. Just seems a little far fetched.
-
Resin virtually has no strength when using it w/o fiberglass mat or cloth, almost pointless to use w/o it. So doing multiple layers w/o mat or cloth = pointless.

Battling Imp rise?
Eric B replied to BTL FTW's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
Nice example but Ive clamped a SAZ-1500 wired at .66 rising to 1.9 and it was doing ~1948Watts lol -
Is anyone making it this coming weekend?
