  1. That's funny since it is IMPOSSIBLE to bottom out a SA, or any Sundown Audio sub for that matter.
  2. 12-16 is the average yes, but 10sq in of port per cube widens your bandwith and gives you a little more cone control on the low end. Ive also done a box for a pair of SA-12s in a 3.5 cube box tuned at 25hz, and it gave them a awesome flat response and sounded awesome. I did use 12 sq in of port per cube though. But they played everything you could imagine. SA's are simply, the shit.
  3. If your concerned about response. Do 1.75cubes per 12 and about 10sq in of port per cube. Works great on the SA's.
  4. Its okay tho. I only did .4 dB behind :-D suck that Kurt! Ill see you in 2 weeks lol
  5. I wouldn't call it a true battle. He had twice as much power. But if you wanna compare 1500rms sub to a 2000rms sub and him running more power than me by double, sure that's a awesome comparison.
  6. Thanks. I got more power and some big nasty woofers coming tmrw
  7. Still haven't metered but just a guesstimate is high 40s to low 50s at 26hz bhahahaha
  8. Subs back or up with port to side is pretty loud in a trunk. Also in SUV's from my testing. Gives you a good solid wall that wont lose energy compared to the trunk hatch itself where you could loose TONS of energy. Side port firing from my testing also gives you SOLID lows
  9. Build looks nice. For numbers I guess about a 138 because of amp.
  10. Nice. Building a efficient system. Something a lot of people on here don't know how to do.
  11. Lol I'm not a big fan of aeros or tube ports in general. I could design ya a wall. As long as the equipment is all sundown. Lol
  12. Stick with a slot port and kerf the port! I can design ya one if you'd like. It'll be a few days tho..
  13. Nice! SAs are the shit. I feel people underestimate them greatly! Sundown FTW
  14. On most amps, it should blow the power supply, although I did it to my kicker kx650.4 once and it didn't pop nothing. Lol
  15. Multiple layers ftw! Dowel rods and threaded rod have there place. But do some testing and see the difference in strength and sound from multiple layers vs. A single. You can tell a difference. Atleast I can. Overbuilt>underbuilt anyday.
  16. Get the 4500s, great reliable amp. As far as saying you want 155s on music right off the bat, why just throw a outlandish figure like that? Is that 155 at one frequency? And the rest of the frequencies fall on there ass? A music enclosure imo is a box that has a fairly nice flat response curve, with that being said.. most of those don't meter great to some peoples standards, but sounds wayyyy better. And some cars keep in mind, just don't meter well. So let's be realistic.
  17. Well when you keep stacking the connectors it gain LOTS of resistance. Buss bars imo are more clean and organized and won't suffer all the resistance from the way your doing it now.
  18. Are you stacking your connectors on the battery posts? That'll do it...
