  6. Yeah by no means am I an expert..... I'm pretty sure accordman did a review on a lvl3 10... I cant find the post but If I remember right he gave his approval and he is a no BS guy. If he didn't like it he would have said so.
  7. I am running two 12 DC lvl3's off a SAZ1500d and its loud and clean. Using a DMM i set the amp to 31.6 volts about 1000 watts to "break subs in". and it sound good then I set the amp to 1500 and it got down. Loud and clean IMO. What are they going in? NVM I read you sig....
  8. I personally wouldn't do this... BUT it is kinda different. Here is joesph addai's range rover with this done. http://sinisterautosports.com/showroom/view.php?gid=5 To answer your question.... unless you can hide the second deck I would just run 1 HU.
  9. I really don't know the kid that well but i'll see what I can do with the videos.
  10. Ok a friend asked me to put a system in his 03 neon. Younger guy in high school on a tight budget but wanted loud and something different than two 10's which most kids his age have. He told me he wanted to spend under 600 dollars for everything. HU: Kenwood Excelon KDC-X591 with USB from Crutchfield (free install gear) $180 shipped Subs: 3 RE Audio RE12's $180 shipped from woofersect.com Amp: MTX6500d $100 from me Enclosure: triple 12 sealed $85 shipped from caraudiofactory.com Wires: Knu 4ga kit $33 shipped Install: free (i just like doing it) Total: $578 Just curious what everyone would do with a 600 budget.
  11. you can get the SAZ 3000 from a dealer or also from db-r.com http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/index.php?productID=146 The guys name is Chris and does great work and it comes with a 1yr warranty I bought a SAZ-1500 and it was in A+ cosmetic condition and hooked it up today and it works great. If you want to buy new check out the Sundown audio section here.
  12. What year is the truck? Also what are the subs so we know what to look for as an amp?
  13. My vote is for Sundown Saz1500 from chris at db-r. Again I own this amp but yet to hook it up. I did a bunch of research on this amp as well as others. With the final suggestion from Rusty I decided to go with sundown.
  14. what truck? Year style? Dimension are needed for anyone to help.
  15. http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/index.php?productID=147 Guys name is Chris he gives you a 1 year warranty then its like $120 to repair it after a year.
  16. Congrats Ray on being prego. My wife quit smoking the night she found out she was with child. I smoked outside that night then realized it wasn't worth it and quit. After she had my son she went back to work about 2 months later and started smoking again. So needless to say we started smoking again but not in the house not in the cars. Basically we smoke at work. Your right its all mental you gotta want to quit in order to quit. Good luck on all. First baby?
  17. No i don't have aim. I had 2 different s10 ext with two different systems. In both I tried all arrangements with ports an subs my best was both up. I mean there a lot of things that come into play. When you measured was someone sitting in the front seat. That was my noob mistake about 4 years ago I made the box and had it all installed and when someone would sit in the driver or passenger seat they'd be on the subs. So for the first week or so I sat with knees in the dash, then pulled it out and rebuilt. Its up to you man let me see how narrow on depth you can go to still have sub forward and port up.
  18. Have you thought about putting sub and port up. I know people who have had decent luck with sub forward but they had buckets. Also do you just want DC's recommended enclosure specs or you wanting it bigger? 1000 watts rms I'd say doing between 1.5 and 2.0 but its up to you. BTW with your dimensions you got about 2.9cuft with out sub and port displacement.
  19. Yes you got a good deal on the sub imo. This sub is suggested for ported only so at very least they suggest 3.0cuft. As far as power I would say between 800 and 1000 watts rms would move it very well. You might wait and see is any RE gurus chime in. Also in order to get help making a box you might want to post dimensions of space your willing to lose.
  20. You want me to stay at a tower site filling a 1 hour generator for 28 hours straight FUCK THAT
