Hi, a friend of mine was asking me whether he should get 1 / 2 SA-15s or 3 SA-12s... (3 12s is the maximum budget) He already has an ESX SE7000D Amp (3.5kW @ 1 ohm) and doesn't want the subbox to be bigger than around 6 cu ft. What hits harder but still sounds nice and clean? 3 SA-12s or 2 SA-15s in a ported enclosure (but i think the 2 15" box would be too big?) or just 2 SA-12 or 1 SA-15 but in a bandpass enclosure? What do you think about the recommended enclosures on www.sundownaudio.com? Are those numbers correct or is it better to build bigger boxes? Greetings from Germany, Holdi

Hoping to get a response to an email I sent two times in the last week. That'd be awesome! Email in question... Ok, here's the story.... I finally jumped on the bandwagon and started my first "real" build. I had been drooling over the SA-8 for over a year and finally purchased one. I was very happy with the quality and sound of your product. Unfortunately I got in a hurry to complete my install before a roadtrip and I just tuned conservatively.... Without testing my older amp..... Which was clipping badly. Coupled with very little break in time I destroyed my little beast rather quickly. So now I am in need of a recone. I have a few questions regarding upgrading and pricing... 1. Seeing as you guys recently released your v.2 would it he possible to upgrade my v.1 to v.2 spec? 2. What would it run price wise to do those upgrades? 3. If that isn't possible, what's the base price for a standard recone? My speaker specs: SA-8 V.1 2Ohm DVC Thanks for your time.

I know Sundown says .5-.75 My question is if they will perform well in .6-.65? 1.2 total after drivers(both in one chamber) and port area. Space is limited in my hatch, so the smaller the better, i will use them for daily drive, Rock mainly, but also listen to EDM, regueaton and some hip hop. Another question, can i give a port area of 20 or 22? bellow that at 1200 watts i will have port noise according to WinISD. Of course, the program gives the worst case scenario, like if i Am pushing the entire 1200 watts all the time to them which it wont happen Thank you for your inputs in advance.

I have been thinking of getting two Sundown D4 X-18s and power them with a Crescendo BC 3500 @ 1ohm. Right now I already have done the big 3 with 2/0 awg OFC and have a singer alt 270 amps sitting in a box ready to be installed. I have a S800.4 atm powering 2 Crescendo tweeters and 2 Crescendo mids already hooked up but wanted to drop in some subwoofers now. Should I go with the Sundown Xs and the BC 3500 for daily use? Otherwise I was going to save my money and just get two Sundown SA-18s with a S1500.1 for daily use. I still am running my stock battery so any suggestions for what type of battery I should get Optima, XS power, Kintek, etc would greatly be appreciated.

4.5 ft3 @30hz 3.25 ft3 @ 35hz Been running 1600 rms for about 6 months now, and it is taking it like a champ. Full tilt almost daily. Previous enclosure was 4.5 ft3 @ 30 hz. This one is 3.25 ft3 @ 35hz. I wanted loud for some reason, s-10s do not like lows at all.

Well, I currently have 4 sa-8's, all are d4. Moneys not exactly all the best right now, so I am trying to find a solution without busting the wallet too hard. (3-350) But right now I have a Hifonics BRZ1200 powering 2 of them at 1 ohm. The issue is going to be adding 2 more. Really didnt think it through very well, confused D2-s and D4s, figured on wiring (4) d4s to 1 ohm ( I know...) So with that amp, would it be possible to pick up another one and just run a new set of rca's and remote to power the other 2 all in one enclosure? I know the amp's cant be linked together, but I should be able to use the RCA out to the other amp correct? Sorry for being quite the newb at everything. Not something I do everyday. Prefer engines
