Extended cab Yota AQHDC3 18

It's a 15" hdc3....never had it on the meter but it's the same sub/amp as the aq that's facing forward. Was definately louder to the ear

the best sounding box ive ever had in my truck was a downfire sealed box, it got just as loud as my ported boxs and played every note to the fullest and u can set ur seat where ever u want to

when i had ported boxs in my truck the closest to the downfire was sub forward and port forwards driver side

sub inverted faceing up with port up in same box also sounded ok

but imo sealed downfire is these trucks best setup, i got a 99 tacoma and the system i had in it with 2 mtx 8000 15's in a downfire sealed off 1000rms give or take a little sounded awesome on every type of music i wanted to play on it and could shake the shit out of my windsheld washer bottle lol

i dont know why but thats the best setup ive had in my truck and trust me my cuzin and i tried every possable type of setup in a extended cab taco and this was the best sounding daily, with subs up port up it was hella peaky sounding, i didn't try em inverted like that tho

but i yet to put my system that i had on meter but it was the loudest ive had yet and best sounding

u can look in my sig thing for a link to it if u want to see how it looks

but i got a kid now and a carseat so i need to design something else to go in there

I'm curious what the 18 will hit on the 2200... i'm gonna tune it pretty low because I listen to alot of rap...

I'm prolly gonna work on something for higher notes/midbass...

Subs forward port up does best for a below rear window line box if you go bigger on the box then port forward can work better.

Aero ports are wayyyy simpler!! Just sayin, but i would like to see what people come up with for box designs. It seems like no matter what box I make I can't get the leg room I want

Dont run at .5 ohms, if your questioning your electrical then you most likely cant support it.

just be smart and run at 1 ohm.

for the box like i said in the other thread you posted about this.. i dont get why you had to post another, but sub forward. for the port, sometimes port on the drivers side will lose all the pressure if you open a door to meter, if you do door open metering, atleast i know it does this in regular cabs, port on passenger side is what i would do.
