stang_01
ive seen some autoteks used in good setups, but i would consider mtx far more reliable...how can you afford an mtx and not a rockford tho...? I have seen the MTX at onlinecarstereo.com for 999.99 The Rockford is 1679.00 at woofersetc.com

audiofanaticz
Id prolly roll the mtx too. I have seen the MTX at onlinecarstereo.com for 999.99 The Rockford is 1679.00 at woofersetc.com woofersetc.com is overpriced on many things. Try sonicelectronics.com http://sonicelectronix.com/item_7771_Rockf...r+T40001bd.html Only 1400 for the t40001bd at sonic. The mtx is 50 bucks more tho there. but Id rather spend the extra 400 and go for the rf. Plus the RF is way underrated, and will push about 1000watts more then the mtx at 1 ohm if not more. But if your got two subs with dual 2 ohms, you can only run the amp at .5, 2, or 8 ohms. So Im assuming your gonna be running ruffly a 2 ohm mono load. The mtx only gives you: 2 ohms: 2200 watts x 1 chan. and the rf gives you 3,000 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms. So even at 2 ohms the rf will be at least 1000watts rms more then the mtx. With either option the subs will be severly under powered since they ask for 2000watts rms. I think you would be better buying two 2000wrms strappable amps. With strapping 2 amps together you will need a 2ohm load. Otherwise with both the rf and mtx amps you would be wasting your money becasue you wont ever see the actual 3750 or the 4000 watts rms out of the amps. Or maybe even two of these http://sonicelectronix.com/item_8955_Rockf...T1500-1bd.html# And run 1 amp per sub at 1 ohm. giving you at least 1500wrms to each sub. Forevrbumpn
I was gonna say the Autotek4000, cuz Ive seen them around, heard em' and I have a buddy out in indiana running a few of them on his Atomics, well, think he is running RE now, but had them amps for a couple years now, no problems, running at I have no idea how many shows, but then I read up on the MTX, its the bigger brother to the older 81000 amp. The 81000 amp I loved, I installed a few of them, and work flawless. The RF, well, wont go there on this forum. But they are pricey... I guess it all boils down to what the amp will be used for, daily or SPL... if Daily, Id say the MTX, if SPL the Autotek, since its a proven hardcore SPL amp Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. stang_01
I plan on using the amp on a daily basis. With an occasional competition. I want the best for my dollar and budget.
