protocaster69
Ok so i'm going to be ordering an AQ2200D next week... I wanna get the most possible out of it, and I've heard alot of people say that they use them daily at .5 ohms... What kind of electrical would I need to run this daily at .5 ohms? I already have an extra 150 amp alternator, as well as the stock 60 amp. Also will have at least a stock battery and an optima yellowtop... Thanks for all the help

AMI CUSTOMS
You gonna need another battery and it will be okay then so if you like optima get another optima. protocaster69
I have always wondered about the big ass marine deep cylces they have at Advance... They look like golf kart batterys i guess? are they worth anything for applications like this? They aren't terribly expensive and I have ready access to them... maybe like 2 of them and use my optima up front for starting? I always have a digital volt meter and i'd never let it go below 13v without turning it down...
corey0928
Just run it at 1 ohm. If you are that worried about power get a bigger amp
Socky
Just run a bigger amp, no need to run a amp at .5 ohm daily. protocaster69
I can't afford the bigger amp... lol I gotta buy the sub too... I've only got like 900 bucks to work with and I gotta buy wood and junk... I don't see whats wrong with running it at .5 ohm if people do it with no problems... I'm just wondering... as long as I monitor voltage and don't let it get low what can happen?
corey0928
Yea but you are going to be dropping to 13 fast at .5. People who run it that low have big electrical
