rubbernutz1 Posted February 10, 2011 Author Report Posted February 10, 2011 im technically asking for a friend. hes got a budget of about $300 and hes looking at these to amps and getting 2 of them. if any1 has sumthing a little nicer that will put out about the power of 2 of them for about $300 let me no and i will pass it on to him. aslo he has looked at the 3k watt audiopipe and the 3k watt bb series of planet audio

X2 X3 Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van. Ford302Redneck Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 The Planet Audio doesn't do 1400rms. I'm not sure about the Audiopipe. But Sundown has a sale on used 1500ds for 340 IIRC. That's similar to pricing on what either of those amps cost. And you get better quality. Or I would go with the AQ 1200d, if you don't want to spend the little extra for the Sundown.
