Last nite i played lil john get low full volume amp at 2ohms complete song and the subs were not stinky nor were they hot. The best part of it all is the sound quality, other subs get loud but lack sound quality. The ssx's get crazy loud and remain clean. Also my subs are customs they have a 12" ssx motor with the 3" coil with 8" spiders. the ssx's your looking at have a 4" coil and a 10" spider they will handle more power daily than mine will. If i were you i would run around 5k daily to a pair of those ssx's your looking at getting and as much power possible for comps. Treo amps are no joke, dont base the amp off the spec sheet they put out alot more power than they are rated at. the 2000.1 does over 3k. Thanks for all the feedback Burzendowski! I didn't see the video but that is similar to how I was thinking of running them. I really didn't think you would be able to run them at the full 2500/ea daily. Impressive! How long before they start getting warm? I keep digging up research from the net and am more impressed by Treo! These seem like some amazing subs and everyone I've talked to from other forums said the SQ is outstanding at that much power! I am not positive of what amps I was going to run, thinking of strapping 2 powerbass xa3000's to 2 ohm (I can get them cheap, buddy's a dealer). I appreciate everyone's input!!! Sure glad I pursued it! It really sucks that they're D2's but I can work with that. I was looking at strapping 2 Powerbass xa3000d's due to the price, I can get them $275/ea NIB, but the xa4000 Ihave now just draws SOOOO much current. I would really like to strap 2 saz3000's or something with less draw but the cost is significantly higher. I would love to run a single amp 5k @ 2 ohm but for anything that will do that I'd have to sell my car to afford-I'd have a badass system for my bike though Anyone have any ideas for amps? Would like to stay around $600 since I can get the PB's for $550. Would like something with less draw also. AQ2200 maybe? Think I'm going to scoop them tomorrow, just concerned about the whole amp situation. Damn.....D1's and I'd be in buisiness, just hate changing everything out. I don't know how much I like soundstream's lower end equipment but they seem to be making a comeback. I can get 2 of those for a decent price. Also strappable, should push those SSX's OK I'd think.
