more power bigger box lower Hz same spl?

i failed posted in the rong place T.T or did i

so im all noodin up the forum but i think this is an inportent question.

so im wondering i have 2 12's in a 2chamber 4cube box and i cant hit good lows (25-30Hz) and im wondering if i rebuilt the box bigger and uped the power a little will i get a better lowend (and proper port tuning)?

or just tune the box i have now lower then i want to play to get a better lowrange?

i edited the 4 times now because i dont want to look like a complete failer 4 not noing how this all works yet

what is the max cubic foot for the subs in a ported box? u dont want to go over that because the sub will not perform right

SPL is not the same as "good lows"

4 cubes is fine for 2 12s. And playin low just depends on tuning and your car. Yes. Just tuning to say 30hz should have more play in the 27-29 range but you'll lose output in the 35-40range

Its harder to get high spl numbers at low freq. doing 150 db at 30hz is not at all the same as doing 150db at 50hz the latter is generally much easier

Usually if you're gonna run more power to them than their RMS you're going to want to put it in a smaller box, and if you're running less in a larger box. Chances are you can't change your tuning easily on your box now, so go for a new design.
