I supercharged the car, that entire process is in here too, and the extra HP and TQ with all that weight would have nukes my trans in a hurry. The 5 12's were literally ripping my car apart. My original idea (on page 1) was not to have a huge system, but a decently loud and clean system. I just got competive with a few locals and lost sight on my original idea. lower tuning is just hard. Love the design of the box and amp rack. It's perfect. Love JL Audio. Well each Alpine R 12 is ~25 LBS plus a 9 cubic foot box probably weighed 150 LBS. I also had to have extra batteries so I saved another 40LBS buy removing one of them. The new sub and box weighs ~130 Lbs if I had to guess. I'm willing to bet I saved ~200LBS. Here is a video of the OLD system and the broken spoiler. This system broke more than just the spoiler though, all the plastic in the trunk was broken, the taillight bulbs constantly broke too... Very acurrate and punchy while getting low, Once this thing is broken in I going to feed it some power. Now its at ~1100 watts set using a 50Hz tone @0db and a DMM. Clean even where no one will ever see... The bottom amp rack, again CLEAN powered up! Still being babied lower tuning is just hard. Now let's see if it lives up to all the hype... So by Xmas you'll trade it out for a SMD 15? It IS a SQ sub, you know. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. If the radio isn't cranked the sub doesn't do much its so low LOL. These numbers impressed me due to the overall design. The panels are TIGHT and don't really allow much pressure in to the car, I did this on purpose as I am going more for looks than anything else. The sub has LESS than one hour of play time so it can only get better from here. Driver door open using 45Hz tone Sealed Sealed lower tuning is just hard.
