Im ordering mores and going to go 3 layers thick in the trunk and 1 layer thick every where else. lower tuning is just hard. I can get my wing to flex like that too, these impalas get loud pretty easily... With 130k miles on the clock, you may want to go ahead with doing a coolant flush, making sure the plugs and wires have been changed, ONLY go with AC Delco as these cars like to misfire with any other plugs/wires, on the 3.8 the UIM/LIM (Upper intake manifold, lower intake manifold) gaskets tend to go bad, and the coolant elbows should be replaced too. If you do a coolant flush, don't re-fill with dexcool, change to the green coolant instead. Otherwise I LOVE the car....you should look around junkyard for junkd impalas with leather interior / heated seats! They're great... Yeah I'd expect to have to change a coil or two before you hit 200k. I had good luck with bosch plugs on ACDelco wires (YMMV) in my 3.8L Regal before it died at 255k. Yeah I agree, down with Dexcool, you need to change coolant at 30k no matter what. 5 years life spec for dexcool is a crock... no coolant keeps dirt out of the system and that's why you flush. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. The new alt had a more voltage than the stock alt so I don't need two. lower tuning is just hard.
