wizart383
So are you going to wire your subs at 2 ohms?
JaM Customs aka mprete
well thats what i tried to do and it was lower then just with one sub to one +/- and the other sub to the other +/- 2001 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 5.9L V8 my build logs... dodge build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94914-mpretes-2001-dodge-ram-2500-quad-cab-build-log/ trik build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94447-trik-build/page__p__1298547__hl__trik__fromsearch__1entry1298547 box building thread- very cool designs (PICS!!!) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/95713-2d-or-3d-box-pics/page__gopid__1318152entry1318152 i am a mechanic, pm me if you have questions or anything. JaM Customs aka mprete
that is what i was trying to do though.... thought it would be louder, and its not 2001 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 5.9L V8 my build logs... dodge build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94914-mpretes-2001-dodge-ram-2500-quad-cab-build-log/ trik build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94447-trik-build/page__p__1298547__hl__trik__fromsearch__1entry1298547 box building thread- very cool designs (PICS!!!) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/95713-2d-or-3d-box-pics/page__gopid__1318152entry1318152 i am a mechanic, pm me if you have questions or anything. SGTSKIP
that is what i was trying to do though.... thought it would be louder, and its not As a mono amp with 2 channels for outputs, it should be bridged internally so look at there website for instruction manuel, If at first you had each sub hooked up to one channel and it didnt get louder after putting Both + on the outside + and both - on the outside - You need to look at settings. I have a Rockford r500-1 I put in my girls car and after I switched it around I had to drop the gain as it was too loud for her. Steven Does this smell funny to you? JaM Customs aka mprete
i will try other configurations on the amp but as you can see in the pic i posted that is from the manual and it shows the 2 outside ones are bridged... 2001 dodge ram 2500 quad cab 5.9L V8 my build logs... dodge build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94914-mpretes-2001-dodge-ram-2500-quad-cab-build-log/ trik build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/94447-trik-build/page__p__1298547__hl__trik__fromsearch__1entry1298547 box building thread- very cool designs (PICS!!!) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/95713-2d-or-3d-box-pics/page__gopid__1318152entry1318152 i am a mechanic, pm me if you have questions or anything. MrSkippyJ
If it's a mono amp, it isn't bridged. Hook each speaker to one of the outputs on the amp or hook it up like the picture showed an hook your other sub to that one. Either way it is parallelled and your are running a 2 ohm load. TOPDOG
If the subs R Dvc wire them for +/+ > -/- > then the Amp would make them 1ohm and if u do +/- , +/- then to the amp 2,4 ohm ea. Would be 4Ohm ea sub and if the same Svc But the same Svc would be +/+, -/- will be 2Ohm Hope this helps.
