Maybe DC has a router there. Ricky- I won't be powering it until the amps come. I really didn't expect the amp to go the second day posted. But. its only 3 weeks out. Maybe i'll sell the 5 by then. My opening is 11 inches, maybe a touch more. Just behind that lip though, I have 12.5 high. Im doing 2.2 cubes after displacements, but each sub is getting alot of power. 38 sq in port tuned at 35. OrionStang Posted May 20, 2011 Author Report Posted May 20, 2011 Got my DC alt in today. Wow! I cannot believe the difference. My mids/highs are just as loud now at 26/35 as it used to be at 32/35. Turns out the Iraggi was half dead, only benched 109 amps at operating rpm, supposed to be 220. With the 270XP, I turned on everything possible, lights, fogs, defroster, max a/c, stereo with 175.4, and the voltage stayed right at 14.7 the whole time, at IDLE. I also learned alot about the differences between different brands of alternators. Especially surprising is how cheaply built some of the less expensive products are.
