Slinky Posted September 17, 2007 Report Share Posted September 17, 2007 id say your gain is set too high or somethin. you should have a plenty strong electrical there. if you have the big 3 with all the other stuff you have ou should be fine. Even with a power hungry amp like that HK, You should see a better charge then that, unless your running it full tilt all day long. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. dmanson Posted September 18, 2007 Report Share Posted September 18, 2007 either it what the other guys have said or that 180 alternator can't keep up with powering those big amps. i'd look into getting a bigger alternator or another 180 so you'll have a dual alternator setup. you're running alot of power and i know that 180 can't keep up. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
