so i decided i would weld up the base

and i cut the top i cut 2 1/8th" zip disk sized slices from front to back and used a pipe vice to squish it and shrunk it an 1/8th or so and the drill part now fits beautifully

so as ghetto as this is i decided to reuse the sand on the road thats left from the snow melting off and i ended up spending bout 3 hours sifting out all the rocks and filling all the holes

3 holes took for ever the 5/8's one took no time then the 3/8's took bout double time but the little 5/16 middle hole was a bitch and took a solid 45 mins to fill

but it was worth it, the base now weighs a solid 30 pounds now so i'm happy i just need need to shim it and make it level its an 1/16-1/8th or so off

so i'm looking at one of 2 new things to build and want some help deciding what to do

1- build a media blast cabinet to sandblast my moped parts and what not and my buddys moped

or

2-a 20 ton shop press which will get used alot but at moment would be pricey

the flux core wire is good for welding in the field. mig wire is for shop use pretty much.

Here what i build... I know it isn't a table.. LOL.. I use flux core welding not mig. then paint it..

the flux core wire is good for welding in the field. mig wire is for shop use pretty much.

and blah i dont like me some flux core haha never really seen the welds last to long

my mo-ped i guess the guy before me welded the sprocket back on with flux core and it looked solid but i cracked it rather easy

i'll stick to my gas n mig
