Voltage and RPM problem (urgent)!!!

Recommended Posts

When im driving my Tahoe or when i start it up and its parked it does the following things.

1) The Voltage goes up and down aswell as the rpms

2) Lights dim and get strtonger along with the voltage when it does this.

It does those things when im either parked or when i am stalled at a red light but as soon as i accelerate it stops doing that until i once again stop or park it.

i need help please so i can figure this out because this is borrinw the hek out of me. Help would greatly be appreciated.

(soorry if this is the wrong forum for this question)

Unplug the alt and see if the truck idles fine. I had this happen to me when my alt was bad. Above 1200 rpms it was fine, at idle I would bounce between 12-14.7v

Dodge Magnum with custom 300c front end, laid out on air bags

*4) 12" Cadence Daytona walled

*1) AudioQue 20k

*270a DC Power Alt (Dual coming soon)
