Craig28 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 im not impressed with the the 5 percent i have right now. everyone is saying that you shouldnt be able to see in at all. should i just go all out black and throw a layer of 2.5 on top of it or just strip all the 5 off first. 2.5 on top of 5 good or bad idea.? kl0wn Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 I am no tint expert, but I am pretty sure they don't make a 2.5%, all 2.5% is, is just 2 layers of 5%. Somebody correct me if I am wrong though.. Quote 06 Mini Cooper S Sundown, SoundQubed Cadence, XS Power 151s Sealed 155s Outlaw Windshield @ 37hz

thesilve15 Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 is it side windows? or all the way around your talking about? also not a tint expert but you said "the box" so it might just be the tint your buying. when i got mine tinted i went ahead and just payed for it because those guys use pretty top grade stuff, i mean i can see in sometime for instance when its hot but if its cold or overcast or atleast cool, cant see a thing Quote
9515ROB Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 yeah if you dont wanna see in and hardly be able to see out i would just do a layer of 5 and 2.5 that should be enough Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF

audiofanaticz Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 My question is what kind of tint are you currently using or have installed? and usually any film under 5% is some garbage tint. Good film companies (llumar, suntek, etc) dont make a film lower then 5% that Im aware of. I run suntek carbon 5% on my tahoe and can barly see in the side windows in daylight. I also installed some 5% llumar on a boat for a friend and its the same way for the most part. Im assuming you got some bogus brand film on your car like gila, or some other crap died brand tint sold at your local autoparts store that will fade even tho it is "fade resistant" lol Quote
knowledge Posted March 17, 2011 Report Posted March 17, 2011 may i ask why so dark? i have 5% on b pillars back and is just fine.
