bumonskateboard6
Well I've had a pioneer PRS-D2000SPL for the past 2.5-3 years now and it finally kicked the bucket today. I wasn't going hard on it at all when it broke. Just went up in smoke when I was driving.. Only thing I can guess that caused it was being mounted on my box and it rattled it apart. Voltage always above 14, subs coils read perfect, amp set with a TPI-440 oscilloscope. I will see what Rusty can do for me on a DC 3500 or I may just be without a system for a while :/ Anyone have any other ideas of what could cause it? Low voltage doesn't blow amps. That's a myth. A router that does the sub holes makes rounded edges also?

Beanz
have you opened the amp up yet? Quote That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. STEvil
I went to the page for the amp and Pioneer is claiming 180db... on the old 2006 iasca metering setup, lol! http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/29/182/PRS-D2000SPL/index.html Quote MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed. Beanz
reason that they are saying that is that the truck they had had reached the 180 mark with like a crap load of those amps Quote That's why they don't deliver. bumonskateboard6
I know the whole 180 thing...I just bought it cause it was a good amp. bumonskateboard6
Well here's some more info: here's the last remaining part of my car that was installed by a shop. The remote wire. That wire has burnt the shielding off for a good 15 feet. And also melted the jacket of my power wire a little bit.
