AQ Launches Entry-Level Line.

figured i would post this since i havent seen it on here yet, AQ recently launched an entry level line, the 2" coil series. here is a small responce graph i did, this models it in a perfect world, with no cabin acoustic characteristics taken into account.

As you can see, the subs dont have any sharp drops in resoponce, and personally i say the SDC2.0 12" would sound nicer than a SA-8 or SA-10, it models up nicer than both of them, and would have much nicer lows, keep in mind this all computer modeling, the real world may not mirror this completely, but i can say if i had to choose, i would take the 2.0 series 12" over a sa-8 or sa-10.

What do you guys think of AQ's new addition to the sub marketplace?

im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire.

Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block....

Lol yeah, def. a more rock/jazz oriented sub, but the 2.0 12", damn does it model up nicely, im going to try to convince my grandfather to buy one for his suburban :ninja: i would say it can play down to about 23hz in the box i modeled up and will still be causing trouble for the rear hatch, its VERY impressive for $99, now if DC would just launch the LVL-1's one of these days :ninja:

Yeah thats true- the jazz fans will be happy. I didnt think if that.

If your grandpa gets a sub, it'll be epic. Its cool enought that hes pushing a 'Burban.

My dads been thinking of doing a budget build in his Quad Cab Dodge Ram. 2 of the 10s and an AQ750 should be a good match for a center console build :woot:

My cousin has been "borrowing" his truck for about 2 years, but when he was driving it, he had a custom built 10 on a 1,000w custom class A amp, he majorly only listened to country but some of those soungs could SLUMP, we're taking like, flexing the front of the bed, and i had to ask him to turn it down a few times so we could talk while driving, i DEF. gave him the beat bug, and we already have a head unit and 4 pioneer 6.5"s for his burban, just waiting for sub, amp, and a few warm days! hes a hella cool old coot, thats for sure.

A custom class A amp? We general don't hear about either custom or class A amps..pretty neat :)

Suburbans seem to get loud easily, so that's nice for you guys.

Sorry, but the SA series is a step above these. And as far as the 8" goes, good luck using .25ft^3 tuned to anything below 50hz with adequate port area...your port is going to be 4ft long man. Even a 3" aeroport is going to need to be 42" long in the box you suggested for it. It's just not realistic at all.

But if sundown made the 3 inch aero, it would work great....

No one said this was meant to be in the same class as the sa subs. Stop squeezing those nuts so hard.
