mr.p Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Well i posted a thread in the mechman section, but the alt died the first 20 seconds we fired this thing off. And since have babied it just to try to squeak by without burning the alt up completely. That is the main reason for no TL scores or anything i am not driving to reno with a bad alt. I think the rectifier failed, this alt has failed every time i have put a system in this vehicle it seems. I ran the 3 10s off a stock alt and had no issues! DC power prices are very high and require me to relocate my radiator hose. Im not particularly interested in that. Man if i could just get ahold of irragi, if he can get 320A out of a 120A jeep alternator i can imagine same could be had for my explorers alt. Ill try his cell DCAUDIO BALLS DEEP

mr.p Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 This is an older one that has had nothing but problems...It is REALLY holding up my damn progress. Oh well i guess when i get some downtime i will relocate my power steering resovoir and mock up a bracket, i just need someone a bit cleaner with welding than myself, but we shall see. IF i move the battery 2 ad244's is an option. ESPECIALLY if i cut and cap my EGR tube. I tell you if i fit 3 alternators on this engine i will go down and buy 2 12k's from rusty tomorrow. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
