Help with a trunk build

Recommended Posts

Im doing a trunk build with a xl 15 in a 96 altima and dont have much room. Which would be the better way to face the speaker in the trunk, firing up or firing towards the rear bumber?

In my experience if your box has space on the top and side face it back. If there is little to no space around the box to the front of the car face it forward. I had my subs up port forward and the box barely fit in my trunk, it worked, but was a LOT louder when I opened the trunk. :(

Personally I would fire it back. I dont like subs firing up in trunks, for me it just creates too much rattle.

you havent heard lem43606's car. he had practically no rattles for having an 18 on an aq2200d completely in the trunk. sound deadener ftw

edit: but x2 on the firing forward idea

My last car I did the speakers facing back (seats didn't fold down) Tried it forward, sideways, facing back was only way it sounded good....IF your seats don't fold down.

If you have fold down seats, i would face it forward.

I currently have an 18" nightshade in my trunk and i have it firing upwards.

I also have 2 aeroports through the rear deck, and in my opinion it sounds awesome.

Rattles are an "issue", but thats why im ordering some second skin...

Port and sub forward sealed off from trunk if they fold down. Otherwise try port it threw the rear deck

Quality is all in how you take pictures ;) I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person :D

crazy to fit so many in so little. Reminds me of some of the porns I've seen?
