Have you ever had your woofers blown?
fox_racin4 Posted August 27, 2012 Author Report Posted August 27, 2012 The leads are NOT burning The SPIDERS are tirning black from the warm/hot leads hitting them The spiders are yellow so its very easy to see 1998 gmc extd cab 12 crossfire C710s 4 SAZ-4500s 3 Singer 400A altsbuncha mids/highs Team Asshole
audiofanaticz Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 said issue.. I took pics of the better sub, one of them is showing wear through the first spider. But I just got off the phone with Nick (ndmstang) that use to work for Fi. He still offers the best tech support, and dont work for the company. go figure. ROFLMAO He said that on the smaller 7inch diameter spiders used on the SSD line that this is to be expected and "normal". Even if it would wear completely through all 3 spiders it would not really effect performance due to the outer roll closest to the baskets spider landing does nothing. It does not move, its the negative roll connected to the outer roll that takes all the abuse.
