psx2p
I will make this clean and simple as I’m sure people ask this 24/7. My problem: I need new batteries for my recent build, I’m running 2 Fosgate T1500.1bd's (not CP) @ 2ohm each which birth at around 1250+- each. I have a stock Alt (for now) and the cheapo battery that was in the truck when i bought it. My Question: What batteries should I get for the system, I’ve looked at Yellow Tops locally and I’ve checked out Kinetic and XS Powers websites and I’ve seen what Kinetic recommends. I figured before I make a purchase I should ask fellow Car Audio guys what they run and suggest from personal experience. 01 Sonoma 4x4 (2) DC Lv4 15”s with Lv5 Coils and Cones (2) RF T1500.1bd 01 GMC Sonoma 4x4 RF T1500.1bd DC LVL 4 12"

jconnway
you should be good with the biggest xs power under the hood and a d3100 in the back. Thats exactly, exactly what I'm doing, plus eventually a high output mechman. make sure you do the big 3 and have all good wiring and you should see virtually no voltage drop. mr.p
Upgrade your alternator FIRST before you buy big expensive batteries. Alternators give you the power, batteries just store reserve when you overrun the alternator. Remember 14.8V is alot louder than 12.5V Biggest alternator you can afford, large upgraded power and ground wires from the alt to the battery, and a good underhood battery is the best start....HELL im running 3kw with a failing alternator and one underhood battery. i see 14.5V at 2000RPM and a low of 13.9V at 2000 rpm.. 11.5V at idle with no alternator charging.
