HHR Ed
What about the subs man? I didnt see that part, but yes if you have 2-3 runs of 0gauge, big III and 3 decent batteries with that alternator you should be able to do .7 if you do your box right, thats about the ONLY knowledge I see you needing, but I know very little about impedence rise so let one of these geniuses tell you since they know so much. He is asking for suggestions on new woofers. And please, read all posts before you generalize people posting here. HHR Ed
to Edgar. You may want to start a new post about woofers, or just search around a bit. But to clear up what you are asking. You want 4 woofers that come in D2 ohms and handle 1000w or more. Do you have a size preference? I ready that you may want a sealed box, is that correct? And a budget of $1000 or lower? Sammitch0
I'd just get 4 D2 Fi SSD 15's @ $1,000 and run them 1OHM off your Rockford, safest and easiest. The SSD appears to be down due to new magnets coming in so if you can wait do it. They'll do an easy 1000rms mine did 1200 daily off stock electrical and a crappy amplifier. You should be able to do 4 @ 1000RMS ea. with your electrical. HHR Ed
So far there are 2 suggestions that you cant go wrong. So many good choices out there. Unfortunately, without taking a listen, you can fully tell what you would like. That's the benefit of buying from a shop, getting the preview. But alas, on line you have to sift through the suggestions. Sammitch0
If you want 15's then thats perfect man. For the price youll spend on a 15" R or L5 you could get an SSD, my SSD in the right box was louder than two CVX 12's. I actually 2nd the T.1000's great equipment there, cant go wrong eigther way, RE also makes good subwoofer in the $250 price range with great SQ, personally if you're going sealed go with something thats SQ oriented as you wont get much SPL port less. and the L5 is anything bUT SQ.
