And I'm saying why are you even trying to factor rise if at one frequency you jump to x ohms and then the next note, not even a second later drops to 1 ohm...I find many points in your posts freakout that I would love to debate and point out but no need in muddying this thread.

I would drop to a smaller amp unless you het a second XL

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Regardless of if you agree or not, why would you suggest a smaller amp? Like I mentioned, there are many ways of throttling the power out of your amp (volume knob, sub level on deck, gain knob on amp). That and I never said using a DMM to set your gains was a good way to do it, I simply said if that's the only thing he had to set it I told him how to do it and explained that he won't actually be getting the power that you think you would be getting.

The only reason I did that last post is because he asked about how it would be done if you wanted to adjust it after knowing your rise at a certain frequency. I never said your rise will always be the same, because we all know that's far from the truth.

try to trade that amp to get a smaller one. That can let you with some cash left or some more equipment(deadener for example !).

DC xl is rated for 2000 w rms IIRC. Don't be too hard on it !

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

1500, but can take a lot more IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING.

sell or trade the amp, get a smaller one and have cash for something else.

Then just wire to 4 ohms and leave it as is until you can spare the change for a smaller amp and then save this for something else.
