AMI CUSTOMS
there is more to it then just wave length. under your cars resonant freq it builds straight pressure while above that freq it takes over as a wave form More info on this please. Hotdog
I found this.. what do you think? I know you can do it with trial and error but this suggest you can take a couple measurements and mathematically figure out the resonant frequency of an object. http://www.ehow.com/how_6368511_calculate-resonance-frequency.html (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
TheyDontWantMusic
every dimension of the car will effect the peak frequency. The angle the dash meets the windscreen, the distance from the dash to the roof, etc.

J.Reed
every dimension of the car will effect the peak frequency. The angle the dash meets the windscreen, the distance from the dash to the roof, etc. This is very true. Thats why measuring only gets you close. The rest is in testing to figure out exactly where it is. In your case yours is weird being so far off. Happens and something is causing it. Would be nice to understand it more to know WHY. TheyDontWantMusic
so why are you telling me that my car isn't 8foot long?
J.Reed
so why are you telling me that my car isn't 8foot long? Maybe that the reason its So far off

J.Reed
or maybe its so far off because your theory doesn't work Not really when it works 99% of the time lol. Worked on my build and the one before it and before it. The many other I have done this year and in the past. You also have 2 others that have measured and there resonance is very close to what they measured. So something is working. Sure it doesnt work every time. But 99% I will take as pretty solid evidence it is valid lol If Im SO far off basis then explain to ALL of us why your car peaks where it does and why. There is a reason. Care to elaborate why it peaks where it does? You have only proved my way didnt work on your ride. So show us why and how to get it right
